Yesterday we visited chez cora on st. charles. The restaurant was very busy,manager/owner was the only person seating customers and taking payments. Could have used an extra person. Waited more than 10 minutes to be seated and the same time to pay the bill. mentioned to the owner/manager that the eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage were not even warm, toast was brought at the end of the meal upon us reminding the waitress. Also when we were waiting for a table and the owner/manager found one for us he asked us to wait a few more minutes so that he can take someone's payment that just arrived at the cash. I'm sorry but we were with my dad who is in his 90's and uses a walker. To make him wait more than he requires is very disrespectful so we seated ourselves. A little more respect should have been given to the elderly. I have also had breakfast at competitors in the area such as ben and florentines and pizzalini ro name a few and the breakfast is always warm to hot. I guess I will be frequenting them more often. All the owner/manager said was sorry! For over 40$ that we spent for more than 3 people I feel that there should of been more than sorry. Why Did we not tell the waitress you may say. by the time she came bak to the table it was much later and we were hungry and the restaurant was very busy and Time was an issue.A guest in our party ordered a meal as well which came with chocolate pancakes and wanted to switch the chocolate pancakes for blueberry pancakes and was told by the waitress that the chef and manager said that we are not allowed to switch for that meal. Not even we would have to charge...
Read moreWhere to start, the hostess was friendly and excellent and thank you Lindsey (sorry for the spelling of your name, my bad) (5 Stars)
Waitress Isabelle, well she was busy finishing up her section and in my option already had one foot out the door or just possibly tired, just ok in friendliness and welcoming (-1 Star)
I have my order Jonathan (simple eggs with bacon with french crepe with chocolate with bananas): The reason I mentioned this is because one part of the breakfast is hot and the other part is cold. Naturally I asked for the crepe aside. Almost like the (Isabelle) server was too busy cleaning up to go home, while taking my order lol.
It arrived and not as requested, she almost seemed surprised I would ask for another plate so I can separate the hot and cold portions, but she also just remembered I specifically requested it?! (-1 Star)
The food was very good and she did comp my english cream for my french crepe (+1 star)
This would have been 4/5 Stars but the men’s washroom was filthy (-1 star) especially during the time of the never ending Covid-19. Ya not hygienic at all.
So overall it will end with 3/5 Stars as explained. Needs improvements, learn from the front Hostess and the last server/assistant to refill my...

Just that while all the surrounding tables were getting full service, after this, lady brought the orders we saw that she had done the order wrong too, really really Disappointing, and then we asked to change the coffees which were now very cold, the lady reluctantly said should I change the cup too? I really still think that she didn't even give a simple apology after ruining our...
