I’m from out of town but have been here twice. The first time was April 1st around 7pm and it was a glowing 5-star experience. The woman helping us was so sweet to my 2 year old, even offering a box of pocky on the way out. Food was incredible. I needed help to order since it was my first time and they were very patient, making recommendations
I clearly returned.
The second visit was OK. August 25th around 3:30I showed a photo of my previous order and the gentleman couldn’t figure out what I had. I told him I recalled it being a pre-determined bowl and swapping out the wasabi. He seemed to think this was just a custom bowl. Only after ordering did I see my exact (previous) order on the menu as just the regular offerings for a chef’s choice salmon bowl..
The first time I was there, they offered to let me try a small sample of the different sauces but that offer wasn’t made this time (it was my partners first visit).
I placed my order for a custom bowl and my 2 crisps (2 are free) were blue corn chips and tempura bits. He told me he didn’t enter the tempura bits but would remember and just add them. Once we were in the car and started driving I realized my bowl didn’t have tempura bits and I couldn’t see the shiitake, even though I looked under. I called them to indicate the 2 items were missing and the gentleman said he remembered putting the mushrooms - he was right. I had missed them and can own up to that! There were very few and they were hidden, but they were there. When I mentioned the tempura bits he said I didn’t order those.. he said I only ordered blue corn chips and he was looking at my order. I reminded him that he said he didn’t enter it but would still add them. He said “oh maybe, but if they weren’t on the order I just added what was there” ??? I ordered in person face-to-face and don’t have access to the POS system, it not being on the order is not something I could control. There was no apology offered. I said “it’s fine.” Multiple times, because I’m not going to argue over a few tempura bits, but the service on both visits was drastically different, albeit the service was not horrible this time, just a bit strange.
Nevertheless, the food tasted good.
Portion seemed smaller the second time. Maybe I’m imagining it, it has...
Read moreI'm a little heated, so take my review with a grain of salt. I've gone to this location weekly or more often for the last 8-12 months. The bowls are a solid 4 star - no complaints. However, the locations has also increased their prices rather dramatically over the period of time (also understandable).
Today, I went in and asked for the daily special w/ the maki (specials listed in image). The employee looked over to confirm which one. On receiving the bowl, I asked for the maki again. The employee was surprised and said I hadn't ordered it. I said that I did and that it's included in the daily specials. The employee said that the specials board is outdated and they haven't been applying it for "a long time". I told him I got the special with it all included within the last week and it was included. Alls to say, the employee wasn't budging but also didn't take the specials board down. I'd advise everyone to confirm your order and inclusions before you pay. This location has become...
Read moreHorrible. We are regular long time customers and go to many poke station locations. We specifically asked for extras and the manager charged us but didn't add them. Poke stations usually have high wuality ramen but these people just put cheap mr noodles. The poke Bowls usually fill up the container they come in and ours was about 3/4. The avocado was old and brown (see picture) Every poke station we went to have a loyalty program that give out cards and stamps for every bowl purchased. The manager said she didn't have it, didn't know about it and then denied its existence. Lastly, the place had no music, no fun.
DO NOT GO TO THIS ONE!
Update: there was no lettuce which every other poke station include. They didn't put any sesame sauce. Also there were only 2 pieces of eel! The wakame was only 1 spoon-worth.
We had to go back to our usual poke station and got THE SAME BOWL. Very different (see...
