After seeing you on TV last night Susan, we feel compelled to write this review, as two long-time customers who always enjoyed their food when dining at your restaurant. Your Wok Cafe has a BIG problem that needs to be fixed ASAP. My sister and I have been eating at your Wok Cafe Restaurant for many years; we have recommended it to several friends, but last week's experience was so disappointing!! Wong-Ton Soup -- cold. Egg Rolls -- cold and burnt. General Tao Chicken -- over-cooked, hard to cut with a knife even, had more batter than chicken within and again, the dish was cold. Chicken Fried Rice -- cold. Our peanut-butter dumplings which were to be an appetizer, arrived after our main meal, and they too were cold, plus definitely not as good as on previous occasions! You mentioned that you were looking for cooks as two had recently left, which is a big problem if you want to keep your customers satisfied and coming back. Wallace left a year or more ago and he was a great "stand-in" person, server, prepared dumplings, helped cook, etc. Ralph one of your delivery persons is a great gentleman and always comes to say hello and have a chat with us and he too mentioned that you were hurting for cooks. We live around the corner from your Kirkland Wok Cafe, however, one experience there when it opened a few years ago was enough -- the person managing this restaurant was rude and the food was not up to the the standards of your restaurant off Sources. We always thought your restaurant was terrific/delicious and we couldn't wait to go back, but you need to fix your problem now before it is too late and you lose customers, good ones, like us! Please accept this review from two of your loyal customers who sincerely want you to maintain your status of being the best Chinese Restaurant in the...
Read moreOrdered take out. Our order was left on the Uber dedicated table while no one bothered telling us. We waited 30 minutes at the counter in front until we had to ask a staff where our food was. The gentlemen said it was not his problem since he did not take the order. He said we should have picked it up from the table (we had to be clairvoyant to figure our order was sitting next to 6-7 Uber orders). We experienced really bad service and attitude from the staff in front. Hard to believe we got such bad service from for a take out!!!
Pad Thai was ok but too salty and the noodles were soggy (probably from sitting in the containers for so long). Quantity is large.
Eggs rolls are pedestrian. The resto provided one single plum sauce packet for 2 egg rolls. Most restos in the area provide better plum sauce (not packet style) and in larger quantity.
Dumplings in peanut sauce are too oil (they bathe in a lot of oily sauce).
Salt and spice chicken was tasty and comes with letuce (nice touch).
Given the mediocre service we received and the average food, we will not return back. Next time, we will drive 10 more minutes to Kam...
Read moreWent there for supper with my wife on April 21st: . Food was good but we were turned off by how dirty the restaurant was. . Ordered our food then I went to the men's washroom to wash hands before eating. The washroom was disgusting ! The part of the door around the door handle was black with dirt and there was blood all over the toilet and floor. Needless to say, I had no appetite for the food after seeing that ! Mentioned the bathroom to the young lady at the cash, but she did not appear to be concerned. . Our waitress looked like she really did not not want to be there. Forget about service with a smile, it didn't exist ! . Table right at the entrance for delivery drivers who kept coming in and out. Not very pleasant for the seated customers, but I guess the owners don't seem to care. . This used to be our go to place, but we will probably never return due to our concerns regarding the...
