Restaurant Scores — Restaurant in Dorval

GO TO ANY OTHER LOCATION !! I’ve been a customer of the dorval location for years often visiting on Wednesday after school with my child and family and friends and I’ve had great experiences! I’ll be honest we enjoy filling up on the salad bar and bringing our meals home for later and have never had an issue until today! A friend and I ordered the pork wings as an appetizer sodas and the salad bar at the discounted price as we also purchased meals from the menu in the past I’ve asked for my meals to be boxed from the kitchen without issue unfortunately today my server Frances who started off very friendly denied me of takeout boxes for our main meals as she said it’s policy that we have to eat half our meals in the resto before they are permitted to give a box and this is not new policy it’s always been. Though this has not been the case for me the many times I’ve eaten in this establishment. My friend was pressured into trying to fill herself to accommodate Frances power trip and belittlement and insulting remarks to witch I am guilty of rebutting. We could have ordered just the salad bars for a total of 32$ my bill was 94$ before tip (I made sure not to tip a single $) witch would of been generous as it usually is. We were not trying to be cheap like we were treated and I don’t think it should make a difference if I wanted my meal to go or not as we had no issue with paying our problem was with your attitude . On top of everything we were also threatened by Frances who said she will remember our faces and we better be careful if we see her out side of scores,personally I’m not bothered by the threat but girl I was with is now terrified I would never go back here and I would recommend taking your money elsewhere ! The first thing that anyone reading this review needs to understand is that I love this restaurant. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and as an adult, this is my go to place. The food is consistently good, it's basically a guarantee that you'll walk away full and happy. General tao chicken brochette, poutine, club sandwhich, ribs, piri piri chicken, it's all good.

My only purpose in writing this review is because this is the first time that I've ever been served anything that was overcooked. I was there for a business lunch (invoice #2373110-1) and everything was cooked perfectly. When I left , my wife called me to bring her back something, so I got the large chicken tender plate (invoice #2373114-1). When she opened up the box (expecting her usual favourite), this is what she got. Chicken was perfect, but the fries are definitely overcooked and dry. Not to the degree that they aren't edible, but still disappointing.

This is still my preferred restaurant and the next time I'm going out for lunch or dinner, Scores Dorval will be at the top of that list. I would simply double check the orders of fries coming out to make sure that they aren't...

We are big Scores fans and have visited several and we have to say that this is without a doubt the best Scores of them all. It comes down to attention to detail, quality of service and atmosphere and this Scores takes top marks for it all. The menu is similar to other Scores but this one has not only the best salad bar, with all the choices and always tended to for fresh choices. One special mention is the Gluten free choices. As a result of one of the staff having family members that are Gluten intolerant the owner, Kosta, has made a point to have a full offering of gluten free choices, up to 80% of the menu can be ordered gluten free, this is a BIG deal for many, hats off the Kosta (the owner) for caring enough to invest in this critically important detail.

The staff is amazing, the services is spot on, with a senior staff really knows how to serve you.

However, there is one more special note to mention, the atmosphere. You simply MUST come during the holidays, specifically Halloween and Christmas as they decorate the restaurant like it's a festival! I will come back for more photos, keep an eye out!
