This is by far the best sushi restaurant in Montreal, to my liking anyways. They do not do the fancy artsy/farts stuff, but they do have approximately 120 options, all of which are fresh and very tasty. I've been going there for a bit more then 10 years, the service is always friendly, it's a mom and pop business, and the owner/chef (Richard) is almost always busy, (they do a tremendous amount of take out orders).. .always best to call ahead and put in your order over the phone. I've bought sushi from this restaurant for school functions (with many truly connoisseurs of sushi in attendance) as well as for dates, family functions... only one person of the approximate 100 that I have fed T & M's sushi to didn;'t find it to be to their liking. There was a very negative review of T & M posted by a user on this site about 4 months ago, I was very surprised and curious to see what other reviews that user offered, I was not surprised to learn that 3 of the 4 reviews she posted were abrasive, rude, and filled with expletive deletives.. In the 10+ years I've been going to T & M sushi, the owner (also named Richard), has never treated anybody with disrespect, as that person claims. He believes in service and customer satisfaction, which is why, in this very tough market, in a tough province for a business to succeed, he has done so for more then 10 years.
Give them a try, 99% of those that I've shared their sushi with, very much enjoyed it!! Please do give your comments after...
Read moreThis was our first time trying T&M and definitely our last. The food was not edible, threw out most of it as it just tasted like a pound of salt. The tempura shrimp wasn’t fully cooked and tasted off. On the menu it says 4 spring rolls but they only gave us 2, apparently they gave us “big ones” as they changed the menu. They gave us the sauce that normally goes with hand rolls instead of plum sauce for the spring rolls. The soy sauce for the sushi was also another pound of salt, ended up throwing it down the drain and using what we had at home instead. Not sure if today was just an off day as the reviews are overall positive but our order was simply...
Read moreFresh, friendly, delicious, and well priced! I went in on a Friday afternoon to ask what was the "favourite" on the menu and had their "Kamikaze" roll pointed out to me. There was a generous (and VERY FRESH!) amount of salmon in the roll, and it was actually spicy! I thought at first that rice crispies in the roll sounded odd, but the roll was absolutely delicious! Plus the staff was very friendly and fast, and the food was very reasonably priced! This is my new favourite stop for my sushi...
