NOT WORTHY TO BE CONSIDERED A QUALITY ITALIAN EXPERIENCE!!!!!
Before i begin, the one star is given for the nice terrace and decent styling of the resto in general - but still not impressive for the price, location, and reputation. I am by no means a picky person, and am usually very content and positive, but this place disappointed me with genuine mistakes on multiple occasions and levels .....(lunch meals only). I will no longer lunch out with my fellow colleagues because they only go there.
1 - Service: They have one main waiter, sometimes two, with the manager waiting as well occasionally. Service is very slow due to the lack of staff - we're talking about one waiter for nearly half the resto full of patrons. A) the waiter greets us at the table after 15 - 20 minutes of sitting down, B) we consistently receive our meals easily 20 mins from our order time, C) good luck trying to call on him because he's running around like a headless chicken - too busy to notice us.
*One time, my water glass was dirty, with a bit of sediments floating inside. We're talking about beige and black debris like tooth plaque and black pepper.
2 - Order accuracy: My orders were wrong a couple of times. As in wrongfully written down by the waiter or misinterpreted by the cook. One time a soup was wrong, another time wrong pizza toppings.
3 - Food quality: A) The hot oil is a joke. You'd expect nice italian hot ground peppers (dry or fresh) that sat and infused in olive oil to produce a nice orange colored spicy and flavorful oil - but no.... what they offer are thick cut jalapeno rings in olive oil...... no heat nor flavor from the peppers and not infused at all. B) One time, my pizza arrived overcooked - burnt ring on the crust with the dough in the center not holding the toppings while overall being hard as a rock crispy.... resembles a lot like cheap frozen pizza cooked by a college student in a hurry. Waiter apologized and asked if it's ok if i kept the order (seriously??!!) C) One time i ordered a sausage panini that was on the lunch express menu, only to be told that it was a mistake and should have been removed from the list - they did not honor it and charged me extra (i accepted cause my mind decided on that food). I was so disappointed with my plate cause it was nothing like I had ever eaten before.... the sausage was cut in two halves, sliding out of the sandwich, there was soggy zucchini and onions in there, the bread was not ciabatta nut some kind of dense spongy untoasted bread... just gross and no flavor. D) Caesar salad is really to be desired.
4 - communication: I politely addressed my concerns to management via email a while ago, and in return I received no response. I used my precious time to send in my complaints and no courtesy was shown - why do they offer an email contact if they don't bother replying??!!
In conclusion, this place is a joke in my opinion, with a price tag that the resto does not deserve. Nothing authentic, nothing italian, underwhelming food quality, crappy and slow service, no cares toward individuals' satisfaction, sometimes...

Now, this is a restaurant so I have to get the owner notice by giving one star. First, we put reservation with two high chairs, we got none when we got in, only time we got one high chair was when another table left. So they didn't really reserved it. The food was mediocre at best. In fact, it looks like the chef is either completely uncreative or bored. For a 21$ grilled salmon I would expect the fish to be tasty, the portion a bit bigger than the few inches they served, and the vegetables not to be soaked in olive oil. The pasta dishes were dried, and how do you charge 90% of the price for half a portion???? They charged us full price minus a dollar for spaghetti with tomato sauce for our two years old baby. Really??? My cousin ordered ice cream for desert, they served it without anything... No chocolate syrup, sprinkles, nothing.... Again maybe it is the style or the restaurant but at least try to give us an experience that we would want to come back. It's a beautiful place to dine, the terrace is gorgeous and inside is superb, but the food doesn't fit the place nor the staff. So one recommendation to the management, work on bettering the experience of the diners or you will see that people will refrain from coming back. Either work on your chef to get better quality or reduce your prices by half. This place have a potential to be an amazing Italian restaurant in the west island, one of the top, but it seems that they are stuck with a poor choice of a chef or strict management control that is not allowing him or her to be creative...
Read moreSome of the the reviews here are ridiculous. When you go to Bellisimo you're leaving happy. It's impossible to have a bad overall experience. I was with a group of 18 people and my guests had 100% satisfaction. Special requests and table arrangements were taken care of immediately. A good sign was the flawlessly clean silverware wrapped in a cloth napkin, accompanied by crystal clear wine and water glasses. I didn't notice problems at other tables either and it was Friday with all tables at MAX capacity. There was an issue with one dish that was prepared for my table but was taken extremely seriously. It was a minor issue with cooking and preparation NOT a quality issue. Despite the pizza being slightly undercooked it was still better than most places anyways. As soon as Giovanni and Malik became aware of this they took the time to apologize and refused to let me pay for that item. They even went a step further and invited me to the bar and bought rounds of drinks for us. My brothers girlfriend passed by the bar and they invited her in as well. It was a party inside my guests party! This place treated me like family and was one of my best restaurant experiences. Of course a restaurant of this class had a well dressed gentleman providing live music. The ambience and decor is perfect as I expected. It's a historical building that adds to the experience. If you had an issue here and just mentioned it to the busboy as you left the restaurant that was unfair. There is no way the owner or manager let's anyone...
