We had dinner here for my friend's mother's birthday. The food was phenomenal. Great taste, some people have mentioned small portion sizes but I don't believe that to be true. I think the portions were fair for authentic indian food. The atmosphere and decor is beautiful and classy. The staff were polite and attentive.
The only issue I had is that we had a reservation for 5pm and at 6:40pm the bill was brought to us with our deserts and coffees...We ordered many items, our bill amounted to a little over 300$ plus tip. (We were 6 adults and a baby). I don't feel its fair to ask that we free the table after only an hour and 40 minutes. We felt rushed through desserts and coffee in order to vacate the table. At the very least we should have been warned in advance that there was a time limit on our table as there are other restaurants in the west island that have such policies (Escondite for example). The same reaction from my two friends who accompanied me and who couldn't believe the unique tastes we discovered.
The owner Mr. Rajiv Chopra researched intensively for two years to find his Chef in New Delhi for his new location. He showed me around the kitchen as well as introduced me to the new Chef, whom I couldn't stop complimenting on his fantastic cooking.
All this to encourage you to go taste and enjoy this wonderful cuisine.......Bon appetit and have a great...

So we said no thanks and decided to leave. Suddenly the waitress offered us a booth, prime location.. go figure! That was the only negative thing, manager needs personality. However every waiter and waitress were wonderful, efficient, personable and made our dining experience awesome. Obviously so did the food, rather expensive for what you got but delicious nonetheless. A wonderful night out in a cozy location. A great addition to the Dorval restaurant scene and I hope they do really well! We'll definitely be back and for sure will order out, Naan bread...
