What a surprise... The first clue that this place is a gem is that the parking lot was pretty full for 530 on a weekday.... Second is the authentic record player (the kind you used to put a quarter in and hit a button to play a song)... Third was all the pictures on the wall showing they'd been around a long time.... Way above my expectations ... The poutine is really amazing (fits with the claim of being the place of invention) and it's an average price. They did also have a special orange drink that I didn't try but I could see many people were enjoying it. 50s diner decor and feels like an interesting place. Staff were nice and fun. This place would be kid friendly. I'll be back! Note that they don't accept AMEX. There isn't an english menu and not all staff...

I ordered the Authentic poutine, my husband ordered the 3 meat one, a d our son ordered a pogo and fries. Everything is delicious. I've noticed a lot of English-speaking people who've ordered here say the poutine gravy taste off. It tastes fine to me, but I was raised as Franco-Ontarienne, so I'm used to poutine gravy. If you've never had poutine I'd suggest getting beef gravy in case if you're not feeling adventurous. Otherwise, everything tastes delicious. Also, if you don't speak French have no fear, the staff speak in English as well. This is my third time coming here over the past 12 years and I love it each time. Merci beaucoup pour la savoureuse...

We stopped at this restaurant after a 12 hr road trip from Nova Scotia on our way back to Ontario, so we were starving. Being our first time in Quebec we had to try some poutine. After a quick google search we found this restaurant closest to our hotel, so we gave it a try. This was honestly the best poutine we've ever had and the portions are huge. The waitress was so friendly and she tried her best speaking English which was so much appreciated. We live 8 hrs away from this place but if we ever come through Quebec again we are definitely stopping here. Thanks for a great experience.

The inventor of poutine here at Drummondville’s very own “Le Roy Jucep”! This place is a Diner style restaurant with quite a large seating area and bar stool seating and small booths. Perfect lighting. Amazing waitresses and chefs! Polite, courteous, service. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING POUTINE!!!! Fries well cooked, Cheese is truly special from the Saint-Guillaume Fromagerie about a 30 minute drive down the road. A Range of Sauces available. Also known for their Jucep orange shakes. Orange julep has nothing on these guys!

We tried their Poutine after hearing that this was the original restaurant that invented it. The sauce/gravy is sweet and the curd doesn’t squeak like curd normally does. The curd does however have a nice flavour. I’m pretty sure the fries are frozen in a bag and not fresh cut. We ordered the large vegetarian and the portion size was ok for two. The waitress was friendly. Overall, I’d say that they’re riding on the inventor story. We’ve had better Poutine at several other restaurants elsewhere.
