A quintessentially small-town resto. The burgers looked tempting based on other people’s orders, but we wanted a light meal. We ordered the soup and sandwich combo, based partly on the soup of the day: ham and pea soup is one of our favs! We each had different a sandwich: a roast turkey and a roast beef - plenty of food for us. The soup was delicious, a thick broth, lots of purĆ©ed peas with some tasty bits of ham. It was a little on the salty side but not enough to be off-putting. The sandwiches came on fresh, buttered white bread. The roast turkey was chopped up and lightly tossed in mayo. The roast beef had an extremely generous serving of meat, but was a bit dry. This was easily solved by dipping it in the soup.

When we arrived the cozy restaurant seating area was full and there was an indeterminate waiting time. Because we were on a road trip and in a bit of a hurry we accepted immediate ā€œloungeā€ seating when it was offered. The ā€œloungeā€ is cavernous and feels like a run down sports bar serving as a watering hole for older local men. The washroom smells faintly wafted through, detracting from what was a nice, simple lunch. We’re quite sure that the overall dining experience would have been more pleasant in the restaurant.

The staff was attentive and helpful. The food came out promptly.

We would definitely eat here again, but would wait for a seat in the restaurant instead of going...

this is basically the only restaurant in town besides fast food (McDonald's, Tim Hortons, A&W) so I went here to hopefully eat a nice meal and have a beer before going to my hotel near by. They do not serve any kind of liquor, which is very odd but was starving so I stayed to eat there.. menu had many options for adults and children and a senior menu as well. Not many health food options other than a garden salad, mostly deep fried and heavy food. Service was very slow which I'm beginning to realize is completely normal through small town Ontario.. The server did get everything we ordered correct and was prompt to fix something that I didn't realize about my meal! I had the fish and chips, it was mediocre at best (breaded fish rather than battered) and the fries were the soggiest fries I've ever had. Was food in the belly for a better price than McDonald's so...

Horrible experience at this establishment. To start it off are table first asked if we can get drinks; she said ā€œokayā€ with a rude look on her face. Saw her walk by us still without our drinks around three times. Then we finally asked her again if we can please get our drinks. She hestitsted to say yes but then brought out our drinks. All our meals were basic spaghetti and meat sauce, noodles were cold and watery. No spice, bland etc. I asked for parmasean which you would assume comes with any Italian pasta dish in the word. She brings out a little container with parm that didn’t even garnish my pasta. I asked her if I can have some more parm and she said rudely. ā€œWe only give out one parmā€ overall horrible service from a horrible waitress, disgusting food. Came with our out of town football team and did not feel welcomed. Would NOT...

I went with a friend with the intent of sharing food. The waitress was not friendly with us at all. She never came to check on us. We ordered the BBQ quesadilla, which wasn't bad and ordered the cheese penne pasta with chicken but asked for the mozza and cheddar to be switched for parmesan. We tried the pasta and it was so bland. I don't think the kitchen added any seasoning so I wanted to send it back. When I mentioned this to my waitress, who I had to get up to get it to her attention, all she said was she'll get her manager. The manager said that all she could do was give us half off because we didn't like it. To top all of this off we were given a glass with a crack through the glass. Will not be going back.

Whether you're coming here for lunch, dinner or even breakfast. This is a great place to stop! I have been coming here for years and the food has always been fantastic. The servers are always friendly and willing to accommodate diet restrictions. The portion sizes are massive! I often find I have leftovers to take home. My favorite part about the restaurant is that it has an all day breakfast menu. I would highly recommend the French toast with strawberries and whipped cream. You have to try the cheesecake! It's the world's best by far. If you want to watch the sports games, check out the Sports Lounge in the other half of the building!
