Worst. Service. Ever.
I would give 0 stars if I could. I experienced the worst customer service of my life at this restaurant (this is not just limited to restaurants... I mean worst out of any time in my life where I have dealt with a company's customer service in any fashion).
We had a reservation at this restaurant for a hockey team with 45+ paying customers. Once our order was taken we did not receive assistance from any server for at least an hour. Seeing as how we had such a large party they had to find a few extra tables for us, some of which had just been vacated by previous customers, were piled high with dishes and were extremely dirty. We were very patient waiting, as we realized the extra strain that such a large party would put on the entire staff of the restaurant, however we were almost completely ignored once we placed our orders. In short we ended up cleaning our own tables (had to find staff huddled in corner at back to request wet cloth, etc), getting our own cups/utensils/napkins/etc (again had to find staff at back corner, ask them where stuff was, then get it ourselves... our requests never sparked anyone into action to really assist us in serving ourselves), retrieving our own pitchers of pop and serving them to ourselves (again finding staff at back and making request... this time at least ONE server made the effort to bring out some pitchers, but then disappeared and let us be the ones to go refill the pitchers as needed), etc.
The entire time this was happening the manager was hiding in the back. A few people from our party went to find and discuss our issues with the manager, who eventually said he would give us 50% off of our meal (still seemed unfair considering the only thing we didn't do was cook our own food). The service still never improved. After about 1.5 hrs some food finally began to come out to our tables. Many of the orders were not even correct, the staff had no idea who had ordered what (even though they had taken our orders by player #) so they ended up standing there yelling out "who ordered the insert food item here", and since many of the orders were incorrect no one spoke up. Eventually we just decided to take whatever the servers were bringing us because it was clear that not everyone was going to get what they had originally ordered and by this time the kids were getting very hungry. My children did not even end up getting their food!!!!!
After all this we finally decided to leave (after most of the kids had eaten something) and wanted to pay for our meals. Again we had to wait to pay as not one member of the staff would come to the till to take our money. By this time I had had enough and was very vocal about the fact that we were waiting to pay for our food after already waiting so long. I requested to speak to the manager who was very rude and not concerned at all by the fact that we had received such abysmal service (he even swore a few times during the course of our conversation). I asked for the Owner of the restaurant's contact information which I was provided with and who I promptly contacted about this whole situation (I am still waiting to hear back about 1 week later... I have a feeling he's not going to call me based on the quality of customer service I have received up to this point).
Long story short, I brought my hungry children to McDonald's right after this and promptly received two cheeseburger Happy Meals which they immediately gobbled down. Special thanks and two thumbs up to McDonald's for at least being reliable!!!!
NEVER EVER EAT AT THIS PIZZA HUT RESTAURANT! There is a DOMINOE'S in town that has excellent customer service and will not make you wait an eternity for your food (we know this as the next day we ordered pizza, wings and pop for our entire 45+ person group from DOMINOE'S, which they promptly delivered within about 45 minutes.... seems they care just a little bit more about customer service...
Read moreWe put an order ahead of time for take out while passing through Dryden. We arrived and only had a five minute wait. The washrooms were clean and available. The lady at the check out counter was fantastic. She was SO kind and polite. Seemed genuine as well. The cheesy breadsticks were a TEN. The best. I also love their marinara. It has a sweetness to it. We had gotten the medium stuffed crust. We were a bit sad it seemed heavy and less fluffy, but that may have been the style of pizza dough is different when you opt to stuff the crust. The pepperonis were crispy and tasty. I’d recommend doubling the pepperoni.
It was priced according to inflation I would imagine.
I would recommend. Parking seems a bit hairy if it’s busy but the lot backs onto Canadian tire so perhaps borrowing would be allowed for a time.
I love Pizza Hut.
UPDATE: came back through on our way home for a dine in meal. Our server was chatty and friendly, we loved our interaction! Also loved the food. This time the hand tossed was a better option. Read moreOur takeout order was ok, I guess. The wings were great, the pizza and breadsticks were good, but the pasta has changed (and not for the better). There is only one choice on the on-line menu now - Beyond Meat Alfredo. I'm not against the beyond meat part if it tastes good, these little pieces of whatever they were did not. The sausage taste was way overpowering and almost what they use for actual sausage pieces, but distinctly different. It ruined the entire dish. The onions and mushrooms did not add anything to the dish either. If we even had the option to exclude them from the dish it would be better. They have also reduced the size of the dish considerably. You used to get 2 rectangular containers that fit nicely in the takeout box, now you get 2 small 5.5" circular containers that hold about half the amount the rectangular ones did.
