Where do I start... Let's end a hot May Long weekend with a refreshing ice cream treat right?!? I went threw the DT and had to use the flashlight in my phone as they weren't turning the lights on the menu, even after I asked and waited about 3 min. I ordered a banana split specifically asked it to have hot fudge and strawberries with NO pineapple, proceeded to order a medium strawberry cheesecake blizzard with extra cheesecake bits (which they charge for I'm sure) and another medium cookie dough blizzard with extra cookie dough. The girl repeated my order back to me in the same manner I had requested. I waited 10 min at the window before getting my items. She 100% fact didn't tip my blizzards and just handed me a tray with them in it, got 2/3 spoons. When we got home I opened my blizzard and ate it with only having 4 and yes I counted FOUR cheesecake bits in the whole thing and they were on the bottom of the cup. My friends banana split had a TON of pineapple in the centre under the whipping cream. So 1 of 3 items was made correctly. If I had to rate my experience tonight out of 10 I would definitely be giving this one a ZERO. Y'all basically took my $20 and didn't give me as I ordered and paid for. Would I come back again probably not any time soon Would I recommend ice cream treats from here, doubtful I would Overly disappointed with this one. Read moreI would not have thought it possible that the DQ in Duncan could do worse than on my last visit, but I stand corrected. This has got to be one of the worse DQ's I have ever been to. Takes forever to order, we're into the afterlife before we actually get the food. This last visit took at least 25 minutes from start to finish, and there were others that took at least as long as I did if the "waiting" line was any indication. The single burger was lukewarm, the bun was dry. The onion rings, which are usually like molten lava, were barely warm. WHAT were they doing for all that time? The cherry shake, the reason I went to DQ, was OK, have had better from other DQ's. If there is any corporate management reading this, you need to take a hard look at this restaurant, it lacks any semblance of organization or the sense of "fast food".
Not their best effort tonight. Made a special trip ti Ladysmith to get a Loaded Steakhouse Stack burger like I've been seeing on TV. I asked for the smaller one, meaning 2 patties and not 3. When I got home and looked there was one patty and it was a very lacklustre burger. The patty did not taste freshly grilled, it was small, it must have had sauce in there somewhere but all-in-all it was a bland burger. Read moreI requested an ice cream cake with vanilla on the bottom, because the birthday girl doesn’t like chocolate ice cream, and Oreo blizzard on top. Imagine our surprise when I sliced the cake and the bottom was chocolate ice cream. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to fill the order, as requested. This is the second time this has happened.
EDIT-June 30 - so I stopped in to DQ and relayed the story to Mary, who happened to be the person who made our cake. She remembers it. She said there were no instructions to use vanilla instead of chocolate on the bottom. She did say that I should have gotten what I asked for and promised to review the order taking instructions and process with the staff. She said they do have many new staff and, not to make excuses, but some may just not know how to properly capture the details. She listened, accepted responsibility and did not get defensive. I thought she handled my issues well and I was happy with her assurances. She then said she’d like to offer me a free cake for my next event and a free meal for my family. I was actually floored! I wasn’t expecting that! I wasn’t really expecting anything. Maybe a small gift card, but not the generous offer I received! Thank you Mary for your exceptional customer service! Five stars for Mary!
