A tragic loss of a great establishment due to new management/ownership. Zero stars wasnt an option and only one was given because of the name on the building and that's literally all it is now. From a 1st place BP to should consider closing the doors. We have dined here for years for all the right reasons, second to none amazing service, great food and atmosphere and now an embarassment to the franchise and we just had our last visit. They should really close the doors or rename it Chuck E. Cheese and just serve draft beer and frozen microwaveble pizza, but even that would have to be earned. As soon as we entered we were met with dirty tables and a long wait to even be greeted by a human. The food and beverage knowledge was non-existent as the mythical unicorn called an Old Fashion had never been heard of before. After a new beverage selection was made the long lost unicorn appeared and was served without notice of the change and it was guaranteed a first time pour from the bartender. The food itself was that of the quality from a cafeteria at a zoo, with lack of sauces and seasoning to even the piece count for mere chicken wings was off. I'm assuming to cut costs, I mean who cares about customer care and service right? Even the first helping of wings was the wrong order and had to be returned. This is by no means the fault of our server, it was very apparent that management had set them up to fail, not intentionally of course but due to the wait and the quality of food that was presented they have obviously done the same to their kitchen staff. Point being, that just because one wants to make a quick buck doesn't mean you open up a restaurant when you have money to but zero experience in the industry. Customers should have been your first concern and whether or not you could provide a quality service or product to them and not just make what you thought was easy bank. You really had no business taking over this one and I really hope you change your business plan and stop ruining what BP has...
Read moreWe went here for wing Wednesday and I ordered 2 types of wings which were cooked the way I asked as it was different than the usual. They came out perfectly and hot, almost too hot to touch but great nonetheless. Our server was very nice and not bothersome. I prefer this location as it is not quite as busy as Capilano.
Update This update is based on the new ownership. Well things have taken a turn for the worse. The last 4 times that we have been here in the restaurant and lounge has not been great. The restaurant hvac has an issue where it makes allot of noise and a number of months later it is still making noise. The staff know about it but it has not been fixed months later. Refills on pop are being rationed and trying to flag down your server can be a challenge. Nothing like ordering hot wings and you have to nurse your drink. Lounge side: Wing Wednesday and we ordered 3 sets of wings which were barely warm in fact everyone said that their food was not hot at all. Our server took 2 sets back of the wings and the sauce on one set when they came back was different. They were supposed to be deep fried but a few of them were almost raw and loaded with sauce which I told them originally to be easy on the sauce. My daughter ordered a larger version of the bugs and cheese with a piece of garlic bread. She received the kids version and they added fries but no bread. They got the bread after we asked for it a second time. This order was not hot either as reported from my daughter. Overall this place has not improved with the new ownership. It went from a 4.5 rating from me to basically 0 due to ownership change. Minor thing in the lounge is that the TVs have burn in and need to...
Read moreMy worst Boston Pizza experience ever . I was there around 13-14 feb 2012. I entered the restaurant and waited 10 mintues to be seated as no body was at front desk. Finally after waiting 10 min I called their order online number after picking up a order menu which was placed up front. I talked to a guy and asked him to transfer me to this location so I could ask somebody to be out at the front desk. He said he could not connect me but will give me the number after I gave him the location name.I called in and someone from the kitchen picked up whom I requested to send some one so they could seat me. To my utter astonishment when I finally got seated after 15 minutes I saw that all the Servers were sitting at a table talking and one gal had some school books open....I think that Jim Treliving, should be looking at improving His restaurant business rather than investing more time looking for the next big thing at Dragon's Den.. I am not bad mouthing him but saying this out of shear respect for the fellow who built a gr8 restaurant chain. ..but Jim you know better than anyone that guests come to Boston Pizza, not to just eat food but for the experience..and if this is the kind of Customer service that is expected of Boston Pizza that I am sure you would agree that there are a lot of Pizza places around who value their customers more than Boston Pizza did in this situation... Looking forward to some decent changes to improve service as well at attitude of employees at this location.. and Hope such disappointing experiences do not go un-noticed... I would definitely not recommend this location...
