I happened to be in the area for a few hours and decided to try out this spot to study! Usually, I don't expect much other than somewhere to sit, wifi, and decent beverages/food, but Candid definitely exceeded my expectations! I had the brie, pesto and prosciutto bagel which was pretty delicious along with the campfire cookie (probably my fav item I tried)! As for a drink, I ordered a Chai Latte, it was pretty good, however, I think I will try a different beverage next time. One of the gems in coffee world of Edmonton. Knowledgeable staff that can tell you all about the beans and the way they have roasted them. The flavor profile and strength and finally the variety of drinks they can make. I opted for the classic pour over of their fruit Sweet forward coffee beans which was simply delicious . I matched it with their home baked cookie called camp fire. I let you go in and ask for what is in it.. see my picture and know that every bite was delicious. Candid is one of the hidden gems in Edmonton. It’s located in industrial areas. The place doesn’t look like much from the outside but the inside is where is “wows” you. Plenty of seating and there are two floors. They don’t have much on their menu but what they do have makes up for it. Got the Peach Raspberry Ice Tea, I’d recommend getting two shots of sweetener if you are on the sweet side. Wife got the cold brew and it was just perfect how it was.
