barBURRITO — Restaurant in South Industrial District

I just got a burrito from here. Regular mild chicken. The portions of the toppings were abysmal. The person making it saw the surprised look on my face when he put half a scoop of rice on my burrito. Absolutely tiny burrito, I'd hate to see what a small burrito looks like.. I'm basically eating a heated up tortilla..

First bite, the chicken tastes strongly like fish and it's incredibly off putting. You can't use the same utensils for fish and chicken, it's cross contamination. Clearly somewhere along the line, something used for fish got mixed up or used for the chicken. The manager was on the line making burritos, so it tells me it's not a lapse in judgment it's just how they operate. It's basic food safety.. I got chips and salsa and at other locations the chips are hot and crisp, but today they're cold and actually stale..

I had the pleasure of working with Mike at this particular location of barBURRITO. I work at Wellspring Alberta and for one of our programs, we are required to order in food. I have to extend my most sincere gratitude to Mike and his team for their support. Mike was very easy to work with and accommodating in our questions and requests, his team paid attention to detail, ensuring that each of our items was individually packaged (due to allergies and other concerns). Mike delivered the food himself to our location both times that we ordered through barBURRITO and in both instances he was on time or early, ensuring that we were not worried about when the food would arrive for the program. Overall, I was so grateful to get to work with Mike for this as he was exceptional. Both orders were amazing and had leftovers to spare. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with an order I placed today at your location on 7438 68 Ave NW, Edmonton. I have attached a photo showing what I ordered and what I actually received.

After noticing the mistake, I called the store. A staff member answered and admitted that the incorrect order was made by mistake. She told me I could place another order and she would remake it, but I would need to pay again. I don’t believe it is fair for me to pay a second time when I did not receive what I originally ordered.

She then said she would speak to the owner and call me back to explain the situation. However, instead of resolving the issue, she disconnected my call twice. On the third call, she offered me a free replacement order for next time, but I no longer wish to order from this location due to the unprofessional experience I had.
