I have grown up with Campus Pizza.
I used to live in Belgravia with my family. As a child, my mother would always appease me and my sister with this pizza. As a teenager, I'd be late for class playing the arcade game machine (1945) with my friends and crushing pizza subs at lunch. As a university student I'd always order pizza's for parties, or for my late study nights. Now as an adult, in the middle of a pandemic, I am still ordering my favourite pizza in Edmonton.
This place is nostalgic to me and so many of the people in my life.
Great ingredients, reasonable prices, and always consistent. You can't get better than that.
I've seen the owners change a few times over in the last 20(?) or so years. It is my joy to report that the recipes have stayed the same, along with the passion for this little pizza joint in the newest owner Dave.
I developed a gluten sensitivity in the past two years, so my love for their pizza/ pizza subs (which I highly recommend you get as an old classic fav) wasn't an option as they didn't have GF crusts prior to this year.
They now have the BEST GF crust I've had in the city (even against Pink Gorilla). It has the same taste from their pizza oven, and is so delicious and light (compared to so many GF crusts). Their original crust is also very American in the sense that it's fluffy and full.
I am so happy to see this place continue to grow and thrive throughout it's history. I've had so many memories tied to this place, and it is truly a special pizza place for Edmonton.
Thanks for keeping my favorite comfort...
Read moreI didn't think it was possible, but Campus Pizza just got better! New owners, new website, new pizza creations, and new online ordering platform, while keeping the same delicious flavours and excellent quality.
Campus Pizza has been my favourite pizza place in town for over 23 years. Tasty pizza and sauce, generous with their high quality toppings (Saputo cheese!), value for money. My kids are hooked on the garlic bread and they also serve delicious subs and wings. Some might consider the wings to be spicy so ask for 'non-spicy' with the sauce on the side if you don't like it hot.
As far as the pizza goes, they make it with a medium-thick crust. The larger pizzas have a bit more dough than the personal (8" sized) ones so are thicker. Both are delicious. My favourite combo is bacon, mushroom, and Italian sausage (the bacon they use is ridiculously tasty). A modified Hawaiian with bacon and pineapple is a huge hit with the kids. Ask for the cheese to be cooked slightly darker on top and the pizza will be a bit crispier as well.
The staff are friendly, innovative, and passionate...
Read moreI’ve heard from some long time customers that it was better back in the day, I’ve only had it for the first time now and I thinks it’s great. Wings were good, pizza was good. They said they burnt the crust in one of my pizza’s so they made another one and gave me both. It was a hot overcooked but I wouldn’t have complained so awesome on them for giving me another pizza. A bit expensive compared to some other places but I was happy with my purchase. Delivery driver called when he arrived and made sure to hand it to me in person and explain the extra pizza. Overall a great experience. I can see what people are saying about the sauce and cheese, it’s good but not 5 star. Not very...
