Choice of India - Lessard Rd — Restaurant in Edmonton

We had an unusual and strange experience. I don’t even know where to start. Service was the worst we ever experienced and felt unwelcomed.

I came down to the restaurant for dine in experience with my little kid and we specially wanted to enjoy rumali roti and chole bhature “warm/hot” so we placed chole bhature and rumali roti order. We added veg combo to our order which is an “exclusive” take out item so we were denied to dine in completely. By the time we reached home everything had turned cold and soggy. We understood that if the restaurant is busy they cannot allow take out items for dine in but in this situation the restaurant was completely empty. Our order had dine in items but no efforts made to accommodate.

They even messed up my order. I had ordered and paid for extra naan but did not have it when we opened our order at home.

This honestly use to be our one of our favourite restaurants and go to place and its sad to see it leave such a bitter taste of service in our mouth

Update- The owner made special efforts to get in contact with me and was apologetic and empathetic. I updated my rating to 3 stars for the kindness and empathy...

I just visited this place with my friend after seeing their reviews but that was the worst experience we had. First the server didn’t even know what daily special was going on on that day and she had to confirm with the kitchen first. We placed our order at 6:50 and asked if we can have our soup first. Soup was ok nothing special about that. What really made us angry was that we literally waited 1 hour just to get the food and every time server was saying few more minutes we got late for our meeting which we had. Only excuse they had was that the server is on training which doesn’t matter because she wasn’t cooking food in kitchen so such a childish excuse. We ended up with just one sorry from server and that’s it. Just waiting 1 hour for chole and chicken wings didn’t worth it at all.
