Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Edmonton

We got DQ for delivery from this location. When we received our order, we make sure everything is correct. One of the burgers they got completely wrong. I went back to the receipt to make sure it was entered correctly, and it was. Anytime there was a mistake in preparing the food, I phone the restaurant and every time, the restaurant was happy i called and they were happy to fix it. Yes, you still can file a complaint of Skip the Dishes, but when the order is made incorrectly, you think they would want to make it right.

In addition to being so rude when i called the location, they tried to tell me that it is the drivers fault. I asked her to confirm what she said. "You said the driver is to blame because you made the order wrong". She said "YES".

She then went and got the receipt, because she then changed her story and tried to say the order was entered wrong. She said it is not on the receipt. I told her I am looking at it receipt right now and it says "no" to several items you put on the burger. Then she said it wasn't clear, it only said "No Tomatoe". I told her to read the rest of it and she started saying "no pickles, no mustard, .....". She then was flustered and said, we are not to blame, there is nothing that can or will be done. Then her voice got loud telling me it is my fault again and then the drivers. She then just said "We will not do anything about it. It is not our problem, I am done with this conversation." then hung up.

I have to say I was totally shocked at this treatment. The behaviour, tone, the lying is absolutely disgusting service. I also filed a complaint with Skip the Dishes and they don't want a company blaming their drivers, when they did nothing wrong.

The service is horrible, The workers are wearing shorts in the kitchen, when I mentioned it to the shift supervisor, he laughed and walked away. So I emailed head office and called the health board.

I was at this location this evening, when waiting for my food, an older couple came in to buy an ice cream cake. The manager rang them through and as she was bringing the cake to the back she dropped it in the floor. She picked it up put it back in the container. Went and wrote the customers message on the cake. She gave them then the cake she dropped on the floor, you could clearly see the damaged side of the cake. I think the customers were too scared to say anything. This is beyond disgusting. There is no way that cake should have been given to the customer. I don't care if the floor was just washed. It's unsanitary. I have no idea how this place passed inspection. The manager is also the most unpleasant person to deal with. She berates her employees on the floor infront of all the other staff...

If you want an Ice Cream Cake, this is the place to go, as they have a great cake specialist. Other than that, there is no reason to come here.

It is unsanitary and very poorly run. Food, money and cleaning materials are all handled with bare hands and very little hand-washing happens in between.

The main supervisor on most evening shifts is a spiteful woman named Christine, who constantly berates employees (loudly, within view of customers), and treats most customers poorly as well.

On nights when someone else is "supervising", employees often sit outside the backdoor and smoke joints. Drug deals happen on the premises, and often times the drugs are being sold or purchased (or both) by an employee (or employees).

The store used to have a very nice retro interior that made sitting down and having a milkshake feel like a trip back in time. In 2017 it was changed to a more modern interior which looked significantly worse (in my opinion, anyway).
