I wish I had read the reviews for this location before going there. Our party of 5 was seated on the side of the restaurant that was nearly full (the other side was nearly empty). We ordered appies and drinks, then about 10 minutes later we ordered our meals. After ordering another large party was seated in our section - please note they came in AFTER we placed our order. Their table of 13 ordered appies and meals, both of which they received before our meals were served. Another table of 3 was seated, ordered and served, again before we got our meals. We desperately needed refills on our beverages and after 45 minutes we had to flag down 2 different staff just for drinks. When we finally got refills, one of the soft drinks was not at all correct. One hour and 20 minutes after ordering (we are talking pasta, brute and Thai wrap - so nothing very complicated) we finally got our order, only to discover one of the meals was not correct. After speaking to the “manager” Noah (I use this term very loosely) about our disappointing experience, delays, and incorrect order, we were told our server was new and had a lot to learn. He indicated the incorrect portion of the order would be corrected… AND THEN WALKED AWAY WITHOUT FURTHER DISCUSSION!!! 45 minutes after this “conversation” the corrected portion of the meal was delivered in a take out bag by our server who was in tears. We spoke to the server to express that the conversation we had with Noah was to discuss our overall experience, and to acknowledge that this one single server had 3 large groups to deal with all alone! (There were 2 managers standing at the front counter chatting while the servers were running). Finally, our bill came (with absolutely no courtesies given for the terrible experience). We paid the bill and tipped the server. As we were leaving we stopped and talked to Noah again to express that we were very disappointed that he did nothing to improve our overall experience. He responded with “we I’m sorry you feel that way, have a good night” (with zero eye contact or sincerity). At the end of this very long night, we left the restaurant with Noah blaming us for the server being in tears, Noah throwing the server under the bus by saying they had a lot to learn, and that he did nothing because the situation didn’t warrant any corrective action!! I have NEVER been treated this poorly in my entire life. Oh, and after we left and were standing outside discussing what happened, another group came out a few minutes later saying that Noah and 2 other staff were standing at the front counter bad mouthing us and saying he can’t stand people like us… So, basically, if you expect decent speed and accuracy, don’t dine here or at least don’t express your concerns to Noah, because you will be made to feel like terrible people. 1/5 stars is generous. From the responses to the other comments it is clear that the owner/management will not address/respond to specific concerns here but continue to put a link to another feedback site. How about some actual...
Read moreSo I had he unfortunate encounter with a clear display of racial discrimination against me at this location. It is such a sickening feeling and it happened hours ago but I'm still emotionally upset and I won't lie, I am hurt by my last visit to this location.
I got there at 11am. I was the first customer to arrive in the Sports Bar. It wasn't long before more ppl came in. About 4 tables filled. The Barteneder clearly knew that I was there first, however, did not treat me as such. Instead I was put on the least priority list. I noticed this happening but I did not complain nor show any disapproval. I just accepted it and let it slide although I shouldn't have to accept being treated unfairly.
My stay got worse when the bartender finally came around to me about 20 min later. She told me she won't serve me unless I pay first. (Since when do I pay first when dining out at a restaurant like BPs??) I asked why because she never asked any one else to pay up front. She said "I don't want to be responsible for your bill if you cannot pay for it" I was so confused. I didn't understand why I was being treated this way. I calmly explained to her I am paying my bill like I always do(I'm a regular customer but first time being waited on by her) she then said "I'm a bartender and I can refuse to serve you" I told her I did nothing wrong and she said "I'm not going to argue with you" .....
I was degraded, humiliated and hurt by this. I looked around and go figure in the only visible minority. That was the ONLY difference between me and the others who got served with apparent racial priority.
Now just to be clear, I am no junkie like she was treating me. I have NEVER been treated like a junkie before until yesterday. I'm still shocked. I am a very respectable, educated and well put together individual. All I went there to do was read my text book and have one beer on my 2 he spare while I waited for my next class to start. The only thing I did wrong was sit there and look black.
This deeply saddeneds me. I wasn't mad at all. Just hurt and confused. I am now having thoughts that more ppl think like this Bartender and it is so unsettling.
I spoke to management and did not get an apology. All he said was he will talk to the Barrender.
An apology would have made all the difference.

Read moreTook my father out for his birthday. Service was horrible. The first server forgot to ring in one of the meals, the side came out, but no sandwich? After sitting there with no meal in front of one of my party for almost 10 mins, the server finally came and asked if we still wanted the meal, and then proceeded to argue with us that we didn't order it in the first place! "I would like the buffalo chicken sandwich" Her response - "what would you like as your side?" our response - " cactus cuts" so to my amazement, the side came out, but no sandwich. obviously she forgot to ring it in, and then tried to blame it on her paying customers. After this exchange, the server completely ignored our table until another server asked how we were doing. management was informed and assured us they would be compromising on the bill. Management then responded by assigning our table to another server to clean up the first girls mess. After sending back my wife's meal, (as it was cold), and having to remind the second server twice that we wanted another round, it was time for the bill. We were assured that the sandwich would be removed from the bill. it was not. I refuse to pay full price for unacceptable and insulting service. My heart goes out to the server that picked up our table and tried to recover, she now had to tip out the kitchen for the mistakes of her team mate. The restaurant industry is supposed to be one of creating an atmosphere where people feel comfortable and are encouraged to enjoy themselves. That is why I have no problem paying more for the product, its because of the experience. At 15 dollars an hour, I would expect more! Tip is supposed to be something earned, not expected, and I refuse to give a dime to anyone that disrespectful. Appalled by this. Would rather set my money on fire than sit through a lunch...
