Fat Franks — Restaurant in Edmonton

The most disappointing experience and waste of money. My husband spoke so highly of fat franks, enjoying their hotdogs when they were a stand. We went as a family and ordered both burgers and hotdogs. The buns were dry, stale, the hotdogs were dry, overcooked, hard to chew through and flavourless. I could have made a better hotdog at home. I anticipated better from the burger as it had two kinds of cheese and cheese sauce. It was worse than the hotdog, there was no flavour, patty was thin and dry, you’d think the cheese sauce and condiments would help but I don’t think anything could have improved that burger. The fries tasted like they’d been cooked in burnt very old grease. The condiments on the burger tasted old like sauerkraut and onions. The lettuce was browning on the edges on the burger

Even the service was extremely poor. The woman barely greeted us, stood there glaring at us while we looked at the menu trying to decide. I said sorry we just need an extra minute, there’s so many options and she didn’t say anything, just sneered and continued to wait impatiently. We were never asked how our food was and upon leaving, despite the food being so awful I said thank you. She looked up, made eye contact then went back to what she was doing. She didn’t respond, thank us for our service or say goodbye. We spent our night with stomach aches after eating and honestly wished we didn’t even finish the food. I’m thankful we opted out of letting our toddler have anything other than a few fries.

To top it all off, a burger, a hotdog, a small container of fries and two cans of pop cost us 37 dollars. I honestly cannot believe the food was that bad. I’m not one to leave reviews, I just don’t go back normally, but this definitely needed to be said.

Don’t waste your money here. This place needs to really address the standards of their food, McDonald’s has better food and I don’t usually eat at McDonald’s. It’s not that hard to make a decent burger, fries and a hotdog. I hope they take this constructively and improve things.

I will say generally the place was clean from what I saw however the highchair we used felt grimy and like it hadn’t been cleaned in...

Burnt burgers are their standards there so I would advise EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Went there as a work crew of 3. Walked in no customers there and grill was empty. We thought "hey, this should be quick so we could order the Le Burger instead of hotdogs." Oh we were wrong. Our lunch break was over an hour. Majority was waiting for our food. Skip the dishes passed through twice and loaded up massive amount of food. Other customers ahead of us ordered, ate, and left before we even received our food. When our lunch break was running a little long we became impatient. Asked if our food was just about done "sorry we burnt the first ones were cooking your other ones right now" So you burn our food and skip the dishes is fine? In my opinion I think they tossed ours in the skip the dishes bag because they didn't cook enough. Maybe they did burn them, though, because when we finally received our Le Burgers they were BURNT. They served their customers, who they made wait for over half an hour BURNT BURGERS. We opened them up and they looked disgusting. Mushrooms were fried until they were charcoal. Took one look at the foreman, who also ordered the same burger, and we both just tossed them down after 2 or 3 bites and abruptly left. Ended up going to McDonalds, which was 50 times faster and 100 times better. In addition, they also forgot my drink that I ordered from the fridge. We were already pissed about the food but how can you forget a customer's drink? So I went back and told them they forgot the drink and I would want that at least. "I don't remember you ordering one but okay" of course not, you put 10 people in front of us. After I received it he asked, "I take it you guys didn't like the burgers?" What gave it away? "Yea they were pretty bad man. They still tasted burnt" "Well they were cooked to our standards" Are you kidding me?! No apology, nothing. Disgusting burgers and...

food was not safe to eat. The wieners were shriveled and very old, called them the servers played games suggesting they dont understand how...do not eat the food its not safe...of course there is nomanager or owner there i am waiting for a phone call, staff would not acknowledge an issue i do not recommend any food from here, its not safe '''owner please note, answer to your first of all! the quality of your food had nothing to with being cold, or delivery (4min) the food was old and rancid it is all in the garbage now... your lack of taking responsibility and accountability in resolving your food quality problems shows me and your possible customers that you should not be in the food business and are not worry of operating and owning A FatFranks franchise...you and your staff should be ashamed of yourselves for putting that food out for delivery...your p food practices are unsafe...and are certainly way below acceptable practices i have experienced with other fat franks fast food outlets...fix your food quality problem before you get a customer...
