I recently had the pleasure of dining at Eat Alley in Edmonton, Alberta, and I must say, it was an experience to remember! This small halal restaurant has truly won my heart with its amazing food and thoughtful amenities. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the warm and friendly employees who made me feel right at home. Their genuine smiles and welcoming attitude created an inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a delightful dining experience. The highlight, of course, was the food. Eat Alley's menu boasts a range of mouthwatering halal dishes that cater to a variety of tastes. Each dish is a burst of authentic flavors, prepared with care and precision. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail in the presentation and the use of fresh ingredients, which truly elevated the dining experience. One unique feature that sets Eat Alley apart is the provision of a dedicated space for prayer. This thoughtful inclusion made my visit even more special, as it showcased the restaurant's commitment to catering to the needs of their diverse clientele. Having a place to pray on-site is a convenience that adds to the overall positive impression of the restaurant. Whether you're a local or just passing through Edmonton, Eat Alley is a must-visit for those who appreciate fantastic food, a friendly atmosphere, and a place that accommodates both your culinary and spiritual needs. I can't recommend this hidden gem enough – it's a true testament to the wonderful diversity of experiences that can be found within the city's...
Read moreUpdate: Dec24, 2024 The delivery was not the issue, but the food. If you had taken the time to read my review you would have known that the food was the issue: This was the worst Phylli Cheese-Steak I've had in my life. There was hardly any meat in it. The bread was soggy and didn't stay together (as you can se on the Pic). I had difficulty digesting the food, that in itself speaks volume. The fact you think it's normal for the bread to be soggy is not normal. I have had other orders that were not soggy. If you cared about your business you would be more open to criticism as opposed to trying to deflect the issue. This shows that you are not willing to improve. How sad that you couldn't put a minimum meat in it to have taste like Phylli-steak. If this was my first time having a Phylli-Steak I may believe you but I've lived in North America for almost 40 years and have had many. I will never order or eat there again. You lost 2 families as potential Customers. I will make sure I let my son know as well as he was waiting for me to tell him before he orders next time.
Original Review written same evening as the order was received:
First and last time I will order or eat their food. Philly Cheese Steak has barely any meat in it (10%) but 90% onions. It was soggy and the bun was squished. The order took longer than was initially estimated. The packaging was poor. This was the worst Phylli Cheese Steak Ive had. How do they expect us to support Halal businesses when they offer poor service and cannot do the minimum to deliver...
Read moreThis is in response to the message owner shared in response to my husband's review (Moin Mahi)... i would not even rate this place a 1 star but had to, for putting out the review. First of all, i was the one who had a phone call conversation with your employee lady, she clearly DID NOT mention me any extra, hidden charges and that was the reason we placed the order there. If she would have mentioned and told me the total amount then we would have definitely considered some good restaurant rather than spending $100 on burgers only.. We both have been to this place exactly around this time, last year and the quality and quantity was so good. Me and my husband both loved it and decided to go there with family this time and it was very disappointing experience. Last year, i ordered the same, grilled chicken Sandwhich and it was so juicy with sauces.. this time, it was fully dry, felt no sauce put inside.
Second of all, we ordered fries and i told the lady to make it peri-peri fries and it was unbelievable when the seasoning inside the fries was PAPRIKA instead of peri peri seasoning, the fries was so spicy because it had so much of paprika and it was complete waste of $7.99.
All in all, this was the last time we went there and will make sure to never visit again, i mean if needed i can myself go home, fry the fries and add "paprika"😂 .. the purpose of ordering was to get "peri peri" fries.. what's the need to spend $7.99 on just fries if all i get is "paprika" loaded fries which was uneatable due to extreme...
