The food is good, and the menu is gigantic both in size and in the items available. They're the only place in the city which offer much of the selection available on their menu:
The Japanese crepes are excellent, although I order the savoury ones, so I'm not sure about the sweet ones.
The crispy twists are an Italian dessert, which they have made it as a savoury default (they have a sweet version as well.
They're the only bubble tea place serving ovaltine and horlicks flavours. Yet, sometimes they won't stamp your loyalty card for it even though it costs more than a bubble tea.
Why did I score them 3 stars? They only take credit when it's over $10, so you may have to order several items to make that price. No option to add a surcharge if under $10. The hours or operation are erratic and change monthly to fit their business needs. If you're planning a night out with friends, call them as the hours are never correct on their door, nor on the internet. Some drinks don't qualify for loyal card stamps, even if costs more than a regular drink. Did I mention the hours? You never know if it will be open when you go there. Although there is decent furniture and colour scheme, there is over signage and it feels very cluttered because of this. The entire front counter is plastered with product images and menu items, as well as windows and tables. Decor also clutters much of the...
Read moreTried this place because of BOGO on one of the delivery apps. Settled on beef satay fried rice. 24.99 per dish, but 1 free because of the deal. I’m expecting a big portion of great fried rice given the cost, $25/dish. I picked up and when I saw the two small tubs of rice I thought, this can’t possibly be $50 worth of food. Couldn’t have even been $25 worth. But must be super good and fresh right? Wrong. It consisted of rice, thin shreds of beef that I could neither taste nor feel in my mouth, and peas. That’s it. No egg. No other veg. No satay flavour, soy sauce, hot sauce, garlic, ginger, or any other flavour you might associate with fried rice. Again, nothing “satay” about this. It was somewhat spicy and my daughter said “it just tastes like pepper.” And I agreed, the spice/flavour was just…pepper. About two cups of this “fried rice,” they’re making about a $24 profit on this dish. I was mad I paid $25 for two, much less the regular price of $50. I rarely leave negative reviews because I feel bad but this food...
Read moreIm not someone who usually eats Asian food like this so I found it hard to decide since there were no descriptions underneath. The server was great and tried to describe them to me, but definitely could use a QR code to a menu that has descriptions so it's easier for people like me to decide. My husband who likes this cuisine rates:
Ramen= 4/5 Yakisoba=5/5 Mango sago drink= 5/5 Passion fruit bubble tea (black tea)=4.5/5; Boba were cooked and passionfruit flavourful was tasty
I looove citrosy stuff, but couldn't taste the Citron in the Ramen so I tried the yakisoba and it was good (for someone who doesn't like fish, it was manageable when I pushed the fish bits and seaweed off to the side).
Food portions were also a good size.
Space is a bit cramped and looks like folding tables, but the seats had cute cushions
If you like Asian food, I'm sure you'll like this space. Not for me...
