******update******* My last visit to Eddie's Donair was amazing, Donnie made me I'd have to say the best donair I ever had at this place. The meat was crispy, the pita was soft and the cheese melted all through. All my fixins were proportionately spread throughout my donair evenly and the flavor with the sauces was amazing. Thank you Donnie for making my visit perfect. My wife and I really enjoyed our lunch. I decided I wanted to take my daughter out for a donair since it has been so long on having one. Our regular spot that I have been faithful to for 20 years decided to change a couple things and it's just not the same doniar that I had come to love. I have tried donair shops all over the city and while there are a few good places out there, none of them really stood out as the one we wanted. They were either too greasy on the bottom, the meat not browned enough, too salty, over seasoned, too much seasoning of a certain type, hard dried pita, no mozzarella cheese, mediocre ingredients. There have been many different reasons for not finding the right spot. At Eddie's donair we found the meat very flavorful and pleasing, not salty but just the right amount of spice, you know the type of spice that you can feel it on your tongue and lips but it subsides the more you eat? The pita was moist and soft, not wet. They put mozzarella cheese on our doniar that we love so much, they use Spanish onions and fresh ingredients that really work well with the donair. Our dinner was not wrapped too tight but held its shape and was easy to eat and came out nice and hot with the cheese melted to the pita and the beef. We were very happy with our order and could not stop eating until I was finished which is rare since we left our usual spot. I talked to the owner about the meat they use and how they prepare their doniars and I was very impressed and how everything is put together. While this shop is an Express and a little bit small with limited seating it is worth ordering from here for a quality tasty donair. They have many other items on their menu then I will be trying them out in the future but I am happy that I now have a place that I can go on a regular basis for my donair cravings. They do have a larger restaurant in another area but I am happy ordering from either place as the doniars there tastes great . Keep up the good work guys and we will see you soon again.

I consider myself a donair connoisseur and Eddie's is one of the best, if not the best donair I have had. Location is a bit of a drive (I drove out from West Edmonton) and wasn't busy on a Monday lunch hour. I had their donair with no cheese. One of the partner-owners were there, was very friendly, and made us a very nicely wrapped donair that made it easy to eat with no mess. Meat was sliced and grilled to make it a slightly crispy texture and it had an excellent spice and gave it a delicious kick. They added the right amount of sauce unlike other donair shops which oversauce their donairs (which make it an absolute mess to eat and makes the bottom soggy quickly). Very delicious and highly recommend if you are in the area or willing to make the trip.

I ordered jalapeno poppers, which isn't served at fast food restaurants, and got chicken bites (which are). I could have just ordered from a fast food restaurant and saved a bunch of money. The rest of the food was pretty bland and the only reason I ordered from here was the jalapeno poppers. Very disappointed and probably won't order from here again. Edit - stop gaslighting me and just own up to your error. I ordered jalapeno poppers and got some popcorn chicken thing. I don't care what it's called on the menu it definitely isn't jalapeno poppers. This response just solidified it. I won't eat here again and now, because of your response suggesting this is somehow my error, I won't adjust my review.

Eddie’s Donair on 153 Ave is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for something special. The aroma of fresh spices and sizzling meats hits you like a warm hug, and the friendly staff make you feel right at home.

But let’s talk about the donairs—PERFECTION. The meat is tender, juicy, and seasoned to absolute mastery. The pita is soft yet sturdy, holding together the perfect balance of savory meat, crisp veggies, and that heavenly sweet sauce that’s worth writing poetry about. Every bite was a symphony of flavors that had me thinking, "This is what dreams are made of."

And it’s not just the food—the portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down with friends, Eddie’s delivers an experience that’s second to none.

I’ve tried donairs all over, but Eddie’s has officially ruined me for all others. This place isn’t just a meal—it’s a destination. Do yourself a favor and visit Eddie’s Donair. Your taste buds will thank you, and you’ll leave planning your next visit before you’ve even...

I recently had an experience while picking up an order from this restaurant that I feel is worth sharing. When I arrived, there was an Asian guy mopping and cleaning the floor. I asked about my order, and he seemed a bit panicked. This felt really unhygienic and unprofessional, especially in a food service environment. Unfortunately, it didn’t stop there—I also noticed that the wings didn’t seem fully cooked, which was concerning in terms of food safety. I completely understand that things can get busy, but hygiene should always be a top priority in any food establishment. I’m sharing this feedback with the hope that the management takes it seriously and ensures that employees are following proper protocols for food handling and preparation. There are plenty of other places nearby that prioritize cleanliness and food safety, so I’d recommend considering those options if you’re looking for a meal. I just wanted to provide this feedback as a concerned customer to help raise awareness. The rest is up to you. I am very disappointed and Highly not...
