We have eaten at this location 3 times. First time great experience, second time our appetizer came out ice cold (meatballs) they immediately corrected and the rest was great. A couple days ago we ate there again and the service was less than to be desired and frankly frustrating. our server wrote down our orders when taking it so I was confused how so many mistakes were made. 5 of the 6 drinks came and we had to ask for the missing drink. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and my husband ordered the soup and they came out at the same time as our meal. My daughter ordered a kids pineapple and ham pizza and everyone had their food but her I waited several minutes before inquiring about the delay thinking maybe it was still coming. When I went to inquire I watched the host (or manager) talk to the gentleman working the kitchen it was apparent this was missed during order entry and he rushed to get it out asap (thank you) the server did not come to check on our meal. When she was at the table beside us I tried to get her attention twice by saying “excuse me” but she didn’t hear. My husband and sons Pepsis were empty and she noticed and brought a jug of diet Pepsi, my husband asked for a refill of Pepsi but we never got it. He ended up drinking the diet. My other son asked for a glass of water and she brought him a jug without a cup. When he asked for a glass she seemed annoyed. Once we were finished eating she came over and asked us very cheerfully “who wants desert?!” Waving the menu. We explained no thank you, we’re ready for the bill please. She walked away and did not come back with the bill. After a few more minutes I got frustrated after watching her put glasses from the dishwasher behind the bar away rather than completing our bill and had to go ask again for the bill.
I have been a server- I am very patient as I know everyone has to start somewhere and every experience is different but this was a little frustrating. No apology for the missed food order, no one checked on us once food was delivered (delivered by the host/manager, she should have followed up to ensure everyone had everything) and nothing was prompt having to ask for basic things. We come to Edmonton 4-5 times a year and will likely not return to this location despite it being one of my son’s...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I had come here to have a late lunch this afternoon. We decided on some appetizers and were rudely informed that the wings would “take upwards of 15 minutes just to cook”. Everything was brought out extremely staggered, and funny enough, the wings that took so long to cook were the first items out while the rest took another 10-15 minutes. Our drinks and food took forever and she was not busy in the slightest, we were the only table in the restaurant for majority of our visit. Once everything arrived the waitress then tried to take our menus away and when we wanted to order more she made multiple extremely offside and unwelcome comments about how much food we already had on the table and us ordering more. We ordered 5 mozzarella balls and only 4 arrived, so we asked about the 5th one, and she then brought out three more and told us the original 5th one “dissolved”. It was to the point where it made my friend feel insanely uncomfortable and she did not actually feel like she could order more food without our waitress judging her. She looked at my friend when she said she didn’t want to order more and goes “Yeah you’re right you should be fine with all the extras you have. ” I ordered an entree pasta and extra garlic bread. I did not know that it already came with two, and by the time it came out with four pieces, the waitress had made a comment “You have so much bread.” in a condescending tone, and then revealed that “most people don’t know it comes with two pieces when they order more”. Okay so why was I not informed that it comes with two in the first place so that I didn’t order more? It was obvious that my friend was uncomfortable with the situation as she had completely stopped eating the rest of her food. The glassware was also all dirty and I had to send back my pop because of the glass being cracked. The servers name was Hannah B and made our experience extremely unpleasant and we left feeling awful and like we didn’t want to eat in front of anyone ever again. My friend and I both work in the restaurant industry and were appalled at the service that was given, in an empty restaurant to boot....
Read moreJust finished with one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. After being told to seat ourselves by one server, we waited about 5 minutes until the bartender arrived with menus and waters saying our server will be with us. There was only one other employee on at the time so it was clear who would be serving us. Waited over ten minutes while the initial gal sat at the bar and did her cash out making awkward eye contact with me failing to even help her coworker out by telling her to take our table. In addition to that the Bartender who brought us water neglected to let the server know she had a table. 15 minutes go by until I have to yell from my table to my server asking if we can order. Yeah kind of rude but I had literally looked at her multiple times like ma’am who else is going to serve us???????? Anyway we order, she doesn’t write anything down and our food comes out missing two items. Just a piece of courtesy we ordered a dish served with olives and another order of olives thinking it would be different but it was the exact same. Kind of thinking a normal human would mention we’re getting over 60 olives and half a loaf of bread between two people… but moving on. The rest of the night the gal couldn’t even own up to it and literally avoided us to the point that the bartender was checking on us. Pretty terrible service. We ended up getting food discounted but a waste of our...
