Hollywood Pizza & Sub — Restaurant in Edmonton

I had a very enjoyable conversation with the owner of this establishment after trying one of his signature pizzas.(The Hollywood Special). This Pizza is extremely well made, with quality ingredients and homemade care. I was told that they only use fresh, never frozen produce for toppings. They make every food they sell with a Hollywood flair. They make all hand crafted, their own pizza doughs, pizza sauce, donairs, pasta - They have a robust menu, offering a great choice for their customers. The delivery time was prompt. The food is subpar and the customer service is horrible.

We ordered combo number two, we asked for taziki sauce on our donairs, upon checking the donairs they came with sweet sauce, we called and asked them to correct their mistake and we were told they only have sweet sauce, they fought with us on the phone and denied we asked for taziki. Decided to try to eat it with sour cream and the donair meat taste sour.

There pizza sauce is not good at all, it taste like they add ketchup to it and there pizza doe is similar to what you get from those frozen pizzas from the grocery store.

The wings are the only decent thing.

No idea why this place has any good reviews, stay clear of this place people. Im positive they made fake accounts to leave...

• edited 48hours after original post. New owners returned my phone call after seeing Google review I left. Had explained they closed at 6pm that night for some renovations. I suggested he update his voice-mail recordings to reflect his open and closed times to avoid conflicts/unhappy customers.

We will see how this goes over the next couple weeks. And update again as needed.
