I havent been to this dairy queen in years because the service used to be so horrible that I couldn't even bother to waste my time, but my friend told me that he had an amazing experience last weekend because of the new manager and a female staff member that seemed to go out of their ways to make his evening great. He told me how he went into the restaurant and a younger girl, welcomed him with the biggest and warmest smile, asked him how his day was and effortlessly took his order. An experience he wasn't used to getting at places like this. And he saw she continued to welcome each and every guest with that welcome when she wasn't running back and forth between drive thru and the kitchen. He told me how the manager, Razia was acting the same way and he made a point to get her name so that he would make sure she got the credit for being able to run the place as well as she was. . So i decide to head down and see the changes that may have been made. I went through the drive thru and was surprised to be welcome with a pleasant greeting and then had my order taken and repeated for an error check and told to come to the window for the total, which I personally really enjoyed. The line moved faster than I ever experienced at the establishment and once my turn came along I was greeted with that smile my friend talked about and was asked how my day was going as the debit machine processed my money and told that it would be a second until my food was ready so keep my window up cause its far too cold to have it rolled down to wait, and she gave a great smile, as she closed the window i caught a glimpse at her name tag, Izzy. Once she gave me my food i complimented her on her name and she laughed and said thank you, proceeded to ask if i she could assist me with anything else and then told me to have a great night, and she went to talking to a taller Filipino man laughing and having a good time with her work, which is such a great and rare thing to see in a place like this and makes the experience that much better, knowing the employees love their jobs and working with the people that they do. And on top of that the word was perfect. By far the best experience I have ever had at this Dairy queen. I don't post reviews of anything about restaurants, but I was amazed by the complete turn around and couldn't let it go un credited. Outstanding work guys. I will for sure be coming back...
Read moreRAW MEAT!!! Went through the drive thru late Saturday night. Ordered beef burger and chicken burger. We were told we would have to wait about 4 minutes for the chicken burger. No problem. Got our order and luckily we drove home before eating. Got home and the beef burger we ordered was slapped together so I opened it up to adjust the meat so it was on the bun. At that time I noticed a weird meat blood color on the bun. I then proceeded to inspect the burger. IT WAS RAW!!! You can tell it wasn't cooked properly as it was a weird greyish color and did not have the regular DQ char grill marks. So the person who assembled the burger knew this was not cooked and they still packaged it up. I am so glad I did not eat this in the car and avoided getting sick. I called the restaurant and she said sorry and wrote me down for a free meal. Whoopy do!! All the food ended up in the garbage as we didn't want to risk getting sick from anything else. I happened to be close to that location a couple of days later so I went in to get a refund. There was no Manager available at this time. I requested a full refund and was told that they couldn't do that without approval because only one meal refund was written in the book. They then requested that I come back in a week after they discuss this with the Manager. I advised them that I live quite a ways away and that wouldn't be worth my time. I was in shock that after almost sending me to the hospital with food poisoning they were hesitant to give me an additional $8 refund. WHAT??? Irritated and in shock I said that's fine and was going to leave. I knew I would be posting this review so whatever about the money. They then agreed to refund the total order amount. To the person who put the raw burger on the bun and sent it out, you knew it was not fully cooked, you knew it could cause severe illness. How many other people did you serve raw meat to? You should be fired. To the Manager, if you are not training your staff properly and do not care about the quality of your food or Customer Service, Shame! Don't be surprised when your business closes down. To all the Customers out there, read reviews and look at the AHS Inspections done on this facility. You can see all previous inspection reports and...
Read moreI went here with my kids as they were excited to go get blizzards all day and as soon as I got home from work I took them. We ordered medium blizzards and they gave us minis and when I said we ordered medium they started to argue with me and said I would have to pay the difference. When you are in customer service and you mess up, it is your responsibility to make it right, not mine. The manager on duty on August 1 around 9:30 pm had the worst attitude and said it was going to cost her $2 to give us our medium that we ordered and she refused to do so. I persisted as that's not my problem. She then said "if I'm not here next week it's because of you so I hope you know you're about to get me fired for this" I think the owner would be happier with a happy customer then with a manager who gives attitude to a young lady with her 3 kids. It wasn't about the money to me. It's about the principal. And even though they did give the medium blizzard for no extra cost at the end. It was the principal of things that got me really upset. I also ordered my boyfriend a cake from here a couple months ago and they didn't have it ready for when I specified my pick up time. So I had to wait around even though I had a surprise party to get ready for. Horrible...
