Loaded Pierogi — Restaurant in Edmonton

Hi I visited recently, took pictures of menu. Everything looked great, but I had just eaten. They have small and large portions of French fried fries, Macaroni &Cheese and they have perogies fried or boiled. Now, each one of those mains, can have an assortment of different toppings. Bacon, Cheese, Onions, hickory smoked pulled pork, chorizo sausage, creamy butter chicken, crispy fried Brussel sprouts, sauerkraut, BBQ beef brisket,crispy bread chicken...the list goes on. They have appetizers as well. Bacon cheddar bites, crispy cauliflower and dips. Mushroom.and goat cheese salad a day Brussel sprout Ceasar salads . Great prices, great for lunch, snack or full.meal.dinner. Staff is great, can make your order to suit your needs. Stop in give them a try you won't be disappointed from all the happy customers who I saw eating, and the delicious aromas coming from the kitchen. Open daily weekdays and weekends, lots of parking and located in the HUB International plaza just off 50st before the white mud freeway or after depending on if your coming from Millwoods. I stopped in, I got Boiled perogies with Sauerkraut and Bacon and MORE bacon!! Plus I got the crispy cauliflower side, gotta have my veggies haha. And I didn't expect it to taste that good, I was very impressed, this is exactly like Baba used to make. If you haven't tried Loaded Perogy..I strongly suggest popping in for an awesome lunch or dinner, man if they were open early morning, I eat...

Just not sure why they’re going downhill in quality. First time I tried loaded pierogi I fell in love with the sauerkraut/ bacon pierogi combo ( not sure of exact name). I bragged to friends and encouraged everyone to go and try it out. Next few times I went there, everything was great. Went in September and my order was completely mixed up and rather than boiled pierogies, which I requested, it was made on the fried ones. I complained and was told they were busy that day and nothing came of it aside from an apology. Now today I’ve gone back, regretfully, as my original menu item has been removed from the menu and all new things have been added. When placing my order I was told that they could build the old item just as though it was the actual item. What I brought home was horrible! They’ve changed their sauerkraut to what looks like store-bought with no flavor. The pierogies were over boiled and simply soggy and gooey. And the bacon was little bacon bits doused over top. Nothing like what I had had from there before, sadly. I won’t be returning and I’ll be sure to tell all of the people I recommended to go there to think twice...

I went in and ordered my meal, paid and took my receipt, and a minute later the woman at the till asked me if I had paid. I said yes and showed her the receipt.

Then again she demanded I come up and show her the REAL receipt, my receipt was fully paid and I checked my bank to confirm and the transaction went through.

They demanded to see my bank statement which I refused and then they wanted to ring me up again even though I already paid. When I told them how outrageous there horrible service was they demanded I leave without my food.

I obviously refused to be robbed 18 dollars and obviously was not going to show them my private bank statement.

This is the most accusatory and insulting service I've ever experienced, and I do not recommend this resturant due to the disgusting lack of grace they show towards their customers.
