Nagoya Japanese Cuisine — Restaurant in Edmonton

First time visit. We ordered a mix of tempura, salmon dream roll, Nagoya roll and super sushi set.

Mix tempura : 3 shrimp, pretty big size of shrimp 5 veg, good size as well

But it’s too oily for me Also, there is no taste in the tempura sauce

Salmon Dream roll: They are not using Japanese sushi rice, the texture of the rice is ok to me, but they don’t stick together very well. Or maybe we are not very good at using chopsticks.

Nagoya roll: Not bad, but too much fried food we have tonight. And a lot of rice as well.

Super sushi set; It’s my first time to see tamago sushi and a broken Clam piece sushi in a higher-priced sushi set.

The rice is very big and the sashimi on top, I won’t say it’s big enough to cover the rice….

The server is nice and helpful, but only 1 server and one sushi chef are working. Very slow.

The total is around $91.88 before tip…. A bit high for this quality….

Also, they don’t mention that they have to change for take out container, I don’t mind paying it, but they never mention it and the fee shows it on the bill. If I don’t check the bill, I will never know …. And we only get 1 container, but it comes with the bottom and cover. Then they charge you for 2...

Went to this fine Japanese establishment on a Friday evening at 4pm. Walked in there and was greeted by the hostess and seated right away with no delays. The restaurant was clean and very welcoming and the atmosphere was just perfect. Open space concept and lots of seatings available. I was seated in a booth since I had two more people coming to join me. The hostess was very knowledgeable and made conversation which is above and beyond, in my books that is a plus on establishing rapport with your customers. When my fellow friends arrived we ordered the maki boat and two orders of mixed tempura. Food was absolutely amazing and the presentation was awesome!!! The tempura had the perfect golden crisp batter and the veggies were tasty and fresh. The tempura shrimp .. was fresh and leaving me craving for another one. Tempura dipping sauce was perfect temperature and well balanced . Onto the best part the maki boat was amazing. The rolls were perfectly crafted each bite complimented each other the sashimi and the veggies and the rice delicately prepared and combined together made it hard to stop eating. I recently dined at Nagoya and had an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance transported me straight to Japan. The decor was elegant and traditional, creating a perfect setting for a delightful meal.

The menu offered a wide range of authentic Japanese dishes. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and expertly prepared, with each piece practically melting in my mouth. The sashimi platter was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked❤️.I also tried the tempura and sushi rolls, tempura was light, crispy, and not overly greasy.The sushi rolls is a perfect balance of fresh ingredients and expert craftsmanship.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They provided excellent recommendations and ensured that my dining experience was top-notch.

Overall, Nagoya exceeded my expectations. It's the perfect place for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine. I can't wait to return and try more dishes from their...
