Absolutely delicious. My partner and I went for the Chinatown Dining Week special and completely loved the thom yum soup, coconut soup, green curry, and coconut rice -- 10/10 for those dishes. The orange cashew chicken had many fresh vegetables and was good, but was milder and less interesting in flavour than the green curry (which was on the sweeter side, but so beautifully balanced). The spring rolls are small and have a filling of cabbage mostly, so they weren't something we would personally order again. But, everything else blew my mind away. Having been to Southern Thailand before, this was personally my favorite iteration of thum yum. I cannot wait to order it again from Noi Thai. The coconut soup was mild, with fragrant but light notes of lemongrass. It was very refreshing and something we are already craving. 10/10 recommend checking out this place for the aforementioned dishes and the lovely older gentleman who seems to run the show himself and offers good service and grub. :) P.S. For what we got for the Chinatown Dining Week special, we were shocked at how much food we got!

Noi Thai – A Gem in Downtown Edmonton Noi Thai in Downtown Edmonton is a stunning example of how traditional Thai cuisine can be elevated with elegance, authenticity, and exceptional service. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is both modern and warm — beautifully decorated with Thai-inspired accents that strike a perfect balance between stylish and cozy. The food here is nothing short of incredible. Each dish is prepared with care and presented like a work of art. Their Red Curry is a standout: creamy, fragrant, and perfectly spiced, with fresh vegetables and tender meat or tofu depending on your preference. Service is prompt, professional, and genuinely kind. The owner and staff take time to explain dishes, ask about spice levels, and make sure you’re having a great experience throughout the meal. Whether you’re looking for a date-night spot, a group dinner, or just a great Thai meal in a refined setting, Noi Thai is an outstanding choice. It’s a welcome addition to Edmonton’s food scene and a must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality, authentic Thai cuisine.

We came from out of town looking for a great Thai restaurant near where we had an appointment. After reading reviews of several places we picked Noi Thai based on other reviews. We were a little nervous considering the part of town and “ hole in the wall” appearance but took a chance anyway. WOW are we ever glad we did!! Absolutely everything we chose was fabulous!! The crisp cream cheese crab bites were delightful, the coconut soup, coconut rice and chicken cashew were tasty and fresh. The chicken in all dishes tasted like the chicken we ate growing up, the vegetables were crisp and fresh, the sauces just right. I regret not taking photos but we were so enthralled that we had dug in before we even thought of it! The best part though is this… We had brought an insulated bag to take our meal home to eat which we did. Our drive home was 45 minutes and it was an hour before we actually sat down to eat. Our food was still beautifully warm and tasty and the leftovers next day were great too. For my husband and I we spent just over $50 (including tip) and had enough for 2 meals each. Great value and fabulous food! We will definitely make the trip back to Noi Thai next time we are...

I ordered it to go so the atmosphere doesn't really matter except the place was empty and completely silent....so that should have been a warning on a Saturday evening. The service was quick....probably because I was the only customer for the evening. The drunken noodles were terrible, lots of veg (although the wrong veg.....cauliflower has no place in drunken noodles and lack of fresh basil and carrot) and a good portion of meat but the noodles were the wrong type of noodles as mention in another review they were mr.noodles type of noodles not thick noodles and the flavour was much lacking, no aromatics...again probably cause there was no basil.

The spring rolls were laughable, very small and lacked any flavour as well. I've traveled through out Thailand and south east Asia. Don't go here for authentic Thai, this is not authentic Thai or even close to thai cuisine. It feels like either at some point the family sold the business and its now run by Chinese/other or they are thai but trying to make it as bland as possible for an Albertan palette. Either way they should be selling the right kind of noodles for drunken noodles even if it was bland.

Not...

TLDR; we found a hair and lost our appetites.

The place was very quiet, except for the kid AGGRESSIVELY playing video games at the back. It was just awkward silence and his angry clicking and grumbling. We were afraid to speak loudly or at all to disturb anyone.

The other kid server clearly wanted to be on his laptop gaming or on Discord than get up and serve us. When we asked for a group photo, he ROLLED HIS EYES before complying. While I understand kids can be kids, this was a restaurant dinning experience and felt highly unprofessional.

And the food. God, it was the most BLAND Thai food I've ever tasted. I don't know what fake accounts decided to review this place, but they clearly have never tasted a good Thai food place. Curry was aromatic, but too runny. The Tamarack Chicken had a good texture, but that's about it. We ordered an appetizer for the cream cheese wonton, but it never came out. And worst of all, we found A HAIR in our pad thai. While the food was bland, it was still edible. But the moment we found the hair, all the appetite in us just vanished. We were so thoroughly...
