Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Edmonton

Guess what??? I waited for half an hour today and got no food!!! I was going to order at the drive thru at the beginning, but there was nobody checking with me after I had waited for 10 minutes, so I decided to order inside the store. I went in, and the girl who took my order said I need to wait for a few minutes so she can call for fresh chicken for me. I was definately with waiting for a few minutes to get my fresh chicken, so I paid and waited inside the store. After another 15 minutes, I checked with the staff to see if the food is almost ready, and they said I need to wait for another 12 minutes for the chicken!!! I mean, if you can tell be at the beginning that fresh chicken takes 27 minutes to be cooked, at least I can decide not to waste my time in your place, and I show my understanding of cooking food takes time. DON'T TELL ME IT ONLY TAKES A FEW MINUTES, AND AFTER 15 MINUTES WAITING, THEN TELL ME I STILL NEED TO WAIT FOR 12 MINUTES! I asked for a refund after being told there is another 12 minutes waiting because I don't want to be wasting my time anymore, they refunded me and told me they are busy today. However, when I ordered inside, there were at least 5 staff working, and only two tables of people eating inside. There were several people picking up food for delivery, and they all got their orders even though they went in later than me. I don't know if that's races since I am Asain, and that's why my "a few minutes" means almost half an hour! This was definately the worst experience I have ever had ordering food after living in Edmonton for almost 15 years. Stupid wasting of my time in the store and outside at the drive through, and left the store smells gross oilly...

I ordered a 5 piece ghost pepper chicken and 8 piece spicy chicken only. The lady told me I couldn't order the 5, only 10 piece ghost pepper and no combo. I asked her why is it I can only order 10 and not 5? She wouldn't give me an answer. I wanted to try the ghost pepper wings as I dont pass by a popeyes often. So, I get the 10 ghost pepper wings and the 8 piece chicken. Total was just under $40, and she instructs me to park in the front. I waited 23 minutes for my order. Then the lady brings it out and again I ask her and she says she would have to call (as in dial) the manager. Ok so, I dont have all day as this is taking forever as it is, so I said forget it. I hit the road and drove 18 mins. I open my order, the 10 wings look good, nice and warm and crunchy. The 8 piece chicken is dark in color, soggy not crunchy at all, and I bite into a drumstick and it is as red as the day it was attatched to the rest of the chicken carcass. I am extremely disappointed as I was looking forward to having a great Popeyes experience with my family, and I'm patient enough to say, ok the 25 min wait was long, but this chicken is by no means cooked or edible. Can I post pics? Ok I got it. I got pictures. Why can't I post pics here??? What a waste, especially for the cost and and driving and time. I will not be going there ever again. Very saddened. They're gonna kill someone serving...

I never leave a bad reviews but I’m gonna make an exception. Starting with the service, the staff were no friendly, not very happy to help and not very patient. Understandably it was 1/2 hour till they were done work but they do not need to make faces indicating their impatience. Next the food. We ordered 2 chicken burgers and 12 piece chicken tenders. The burgers were warm but did not contain any sauce and had 2 tiny slice of pickles. For the tenders we were 1 short (got only 11)and they were dry as the prairie winters and literally cold (definitely not per restaurant standards, I know cause I have worked in multiple fast food restaurants). When you spent almost 60$ on food you expect to not have to throw out half of it cause it’s cold. And the girl behind the counter didn’t even give me a Oilers flag cause she was too lazy to ring one through (it’s a deal if you spent 50$). As much as I understand that it’s hard to work in a restaurant and the staff all want to go home after a long day, it still is the food industry, I need to get food that I can e at cause I work hard for the money which I use to buy it. I would give this interaction a 0 star if I could. Hope this can be a learning point...
