This is a great place for food! I'll be back with friends and family. The service is quick, and the food is prepared really quickly too! We had our food within a few minutes of ordering. The staff are bright and cheery and a pleasure to speak to. I came with a friend who was allergic to seafood, shellfish, and nuts. They took it in stride and took care of it so we could eat comfortably. The food is great tasting and great value! The selection is large, so I'll have to come back and try more. I do recommend the salads here. The tofu salad has multiple depths to its flavor. The vermicelli bowl is big and hearty. The portions are large! I ate about half of mine, got full, and was able to fill up the takeout container with leftovers! In today's economy, it's nice to see such large portions. The restaurant is clean and spacious. Tables are spaced neatly apart. I didn't feel crowded by others, unlike at Mai Mai.

This is the second location for this restaurant. The interior is bright and pretty nice. The pho wasn't bad and you could do worse. That said, the other dishes can be better: the Central Vietnamese Noodle Soup could be hotter (temperature not spice) and the spring rolls in the vermicelli bowl really needed more filling -- could've been in the fryer a bit longer, too. The Deep Fried Prawns appetizer was a bust -- too much breading and hardly any shrimp. The service, while friendly, was running around a bit and forgetting requested condiments, water refills, soup spoons, and etc.; more staff may help in this case. They can do better.

First time visiting the Windermere location. My brother and I have enjoyed going to the one near Southgate for years. Here we were promptly greeted and brought water and menus. The green onion cakes we had to start were absolutely delicious. The entrees we ordered, the 33b vermicelli bowl and pad Thai, were both very tasty as well. I am giving four stars only because as other reviewers mentioned as well, the female waitress we had seemed rather impolite and rude, especially when I asked any questions. However, because the food was great, I would still come back again.

It was still pretty busy on a Friday night during bad weather so that should say something. The staff were friendly and efficient, the only shortcoming was that it took a long time to have our empty plates cleared. Everything else was very good. The three of us had a vermicelli bowl, a chef's suggestion plate with chicken, and coconut curry chicken noodle soup. We shared an order of green onion cakes, which arrived quickly, hot, and cut into manageable wedges. It was delicious. The entrees also arrived hot and in enormous portions. The flavours in my soup were spot on, and the fresh ingredients really came through. It came with a dish of basil and bean sprouts, like pho. Lots of noodles, and the chicken was ample, and in large pieces right in the soup. A real spoon and chopsticks event. My table mates likewise enjoyed their meals. Prices were very comparable to other similar restaurants, in all, I've paid as much for not as good food, and few that were better. It's a newer location and building so the atmosphere and decor is clean, bright and modern. This is fine, but I have a soft spot for the more ethnic ambiance in older restaurants. But that's just me. I...

I iust didn't love it.

The food was average. The server wasn't able to give very good detailed descriptions of the dishes so it was hard to make good educated choices. When the food came out, it was not what I'd expected and it was lacking any real appeal in flavour or presentation.

The servers did not appear to have knowledge of the menu. We weren't offered drinks, aside from water. After receiving the food, no one came to our table again aside from a quick water top up. When we wanted to leave, we have to go to the counter and ask the staff who had been standing there our entire visit if we could get boxes and where we pay. The provided boxes and came to the table.

The atmosphere was lacking. The music was low and on several occasions, there were dead silences in the restaurant which made it uncomfortable to have a private conversation. It's a small restaurant with I would say more of a fast food/take out kind of feel as people were walking by and announcing they were there for pick ups.

I would give it another try but overall fr a first experience,...

Decided to try this Vietnamese restaurant after work, the lady working today's night shift (2024-Jan-12) has absolutely zero person skills, at least to me. I was thinking about it on my way home, and don't remember anything I did wrong. She took my order, I said thank you, yet no response from her. She brought the food, I said thank you, also no response. I paid my bill with tips, no thank you, nothing. Lady, just let you know, the way you treated me made me feel that you already knew I wouldn't tip after my meal and your guess was wrong. I always tip and the reason why I still tipped you after all your horrible attitude is that I worked at restaurant when I was in college and I know the tips is shared with everyone including the kitchen staff. They did their job fine and don't deserve zero tip. Please, next time before you decided to treat your customer differently or give them an attitude, especially on a Friday night, consider your attitude may ruin your customer's weekend. Food was Ok overall, but to me, I have to give you a one star for...
