Second Cup Café — Restaurant in Edmonton

It was my first time with a friend at this Second Cup location back in May and it has been nothing but memorable. My friend and I had nothing but great experiences.

I was adventurous and had their chocolate cake for breakfast. I made the best choice because it tasted so mouth watering good. Just the right amount of sweetness packed with so much flavour at such a generous portion. The price justified the size.

My friend really enjoyed the breakfast cookie.

There was quite a lot of beverage options, unique features too. The pastries all looked all looked so yummy!

The atmosphere of the cafe was welcoming. Beautiful aesthetic interior, clean and we were at the cafe at a time when it was very chill and relaxing.

What made our visit memorable was the exceptional service we received from both Maria and Irene. Their hospitality, service, smiles and all around great character made difference for us. Both so sweet and kind. They made us feel valued as customers. Maria and Irene are a gift to Second Cup and the food and beverage/hospitality industry.

The worst second cup I have ever been to. We tried the drive thru first, we waited 1-2 minutes and complete silence. We thought it was closed but got to the window and saw 2 employees inside. We decided to go inside to order. When we walked inside the female employee was putting on the drive thru headset. When we went inside there was a total of 6 people in the store. A couple was ahead of us in line. Once their order was taken it took about 5 minutes before our order was taken. The male was unwelcoming and clearly did not want to be there. As we waited for our 2 lattes, 2 orders were taken at the drive thru promptly as they stopped making our order. A man came in, ordered a coffee and received his drink immediately, again, discarding our incomplete lattes. We waited 7 minutes while multiple other customers received service. Finally, the female employee finished making our drinks. Absolutely horrible service and terrible environment for such a nice...

I placed my very first mobile order today and when ordering, it said my order would be ready at 1:07pm. When I arrived at 1:14pm the order was not ready and on top of that, the ladies working there didn’t even know about the mobile order at all. So I waited while they figured out that. Got my drinks after waiting for another 10 minutes and went home. When I got home I realized that they had made the incorrect drinks. I ordered and paid for Candy Cane Hot Chocolates but they made regular plain hot chocolates... which cost less. So I paid for the more expensive ones, but got the regular ones and ended up having to wait longer than planned. I could have just walked in and ordered there and probably saved time. I would not recommend using mobile ordering at this location. They did not seem to understand how it worked. Update: the pastry I got is also not...
