I recently had the pleasure of dining at Baekjong Korean BBQ restaurant in Mayfield, Edmonton, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance.
Let's start with the star of the show – the food. Oh, the food! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The meats were tender, the marinades perfectly balanced, and the side dishes were a delightful complement to the main course. And the best part? Free refills for the salad, ensuring that our meal was not only delicious but also satisfyingly fresh throughout.
The staff at Baekjong truly went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. They were attentive to our needs, visiting our table several times to refill the salads and water. Promptly clearing away empty plates. Their friendly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal.
While the cost of the food is not cheap, it is certainly affordable considering the quality and quantity you receive. I highly recommend ordering a set meal to make the most of your dining experience while staying within budget. Trust me, it's worth every penny.
In conclusion, Baekjong Korean BBQ is more than just a restaurant – it's an experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply craving some top-notch Korean cuisine, this is the place to be. You'll leave with a full stomach, a smile on your face, and memories that will...
Read moreIt was a good experience thou, the food was amazing. Actually this our fav spot, me and my husband. But yesterday, my husband and my friend had a dinner at this location we arrive around before 6pm, the lady at the front asked how many our we. We said three, and she said okay give me a second, then come the manager or supervisor, (korean) by the looked of it, coz she’s wearing different uniform from others. She said sorry we don’t have the table, but from our understanding there is but not yet ready, then the lady in front point to the supervisor the vacant table. By that time I felt off to the supervisor. Then came the food she’s the one who serve the food and behold as rude as ever, she’s putting the food to the table and helping her to put in on the table but the table is too small for our order, then she notice the menu on the table, she said in a very rude manner non verbatim, “put away the menu it’s not suppose to be on the table’” I was shock by how she talked to us. It got on my nerves! But I notice that she was polite to others, and talking nicely to others. Only to us why because we are Asian and we don’t dress nicely unlike from the others. But don’t get me wrong other employee was all good. Except from HER! P.s it was the first I saw her in there. So maybe next time, we will just go to other location not to this location...
Read moreMy friends and I went to Baekjeong for lunch yesterday had a fantastic dining experience. We ordered the haemul-pajeon (seafood and green onion pancake), Baekjeong combo for 2 with corn cheese and doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew with tofu, beef brisket and veggies) and the haemul-soontubu (spicy soft tofu soup with seafood, veggies and an egg). It was just the right amount of food for 4 people. These came with a variety of banchan (side dishes) and sauces, which were refillable, free of charge.
Our food arrived in a timely manner. The servers were very cheerful and quick to attend to us at the press of the call button. They also checked in with us periodically to remove empty plates and to ask if we wanted more banchan. At one point, we ran out of water, so I pressed the call button. The server spotted me holding the empty water jug from the kitchen and came to our table with a full jug, ready to swap it out - very impressed!
My favorite dish was probably the haemul-pajeon. It had the right amount of crispiness and an amazing umami flavor!
In terms of the atmosphere, the restaurant is very clean and comfortable. I will...
