Smokehouse BBQ — Restaurant in Edmonton

They were serving at Rockin Thunder festival this year. We ordered a few items that came to about $41. That's fine. Except when we went to pay the debit/credit machine was reading $84. We told the older lady that it was priced wrong and she attempted to "fix it". She showed us again and it STILL read $84 on the reader so we said no that's not right. She said "oh it's because it's still showing the last one, yours is the $41". She than gave herself a $3 tip and when I pointed that out she quickly denied it. So our $41 turned into $44. We paid as we waited 30 mins in line already. When we checked our account today we were charged $84.

I get that your busy but choosing not to fix your machine, giving yourself a tip and lying to us about the charges is pretty disgusting. As they didn't give us a receipt we have no proof. But seriously, two people eating from a food truck should NOT come to $84. We will never eat there nor recommend this truck as we don't feel this will get rectified.

So disappointed with the food truck service and experience today. Food truck foods should be a unique experience and deliver food people rave about. The food I experienced today was nothing that I expected. $20 for a fried chicken sandwich with Fries… felt like I would have had better food at fast food chain. Fries were not only cold, but they were pale looking and not seasoned. And the “Southwestern “ chicken was honestly embarrassing for a Smokehouse. Bun had nothing in it, and the chicken was soggy, not crispy as it should be. We had Smokehouse BBQ serve at our school fundraiser, and they were absolutely fantastic! Not only was the dinner delicious—seriously, some of the best BBQ we've had—but their team went above and beyond to make the event a success. When a couple of our other food trucks canceled last minute, they stepped up without hesitation and even went out to grab more product to ensure everyone was fed. Their professionalism, flexibility, and incredible food made a huge difference, and we’re so grateful for their support. Highly recommend them...
