Thai Express Restaurant Edmonton — Restaurant in Edmonton

Today my girlfriend, my infant son and I went for lunch at this location. As we had finished our few errands early, we arrived at approximately 11:30 in the morning. We were the only customers at the time. As she was treating me, my girlfriend ordered four shrimp rolls and a mango salad in addition to our two main dishes and drinks. These are items clearly labelled on the menu. The server checked their stock and informed us that they had no shrimp rolls pre-made. I told him that we had time and did not mind waiting for the staff to make them fresh. After informing the two of us that it would take approximately 20 minutes, the server went in the back (we assumed to make our shrimp rolls and mango salad). My girlfriend and I sat with our son and enjoyed our drinks. In the mean time several other customers came, ordered food, received their food and left. After waiting approximately twenty five minutes, both my girlfriend and I inquired as to when our food would be ready. The server, who had since returned from the back and was serving other customers, informed us that not only was our food not ready, he had yet to start making it! Infuriated my girlfriend demanded her money back for the food we had yet to receive and we left. I do not make a habit of making reviews but today I feel inclined to give this establishment the lowest rating possible. The experience left us both upset and unsatisfied. We will not...

I certainly won't be back. Today we went for a quick lunch and sat inside to eat. One of the workers was carrying a pile of food containers which crashed to the ground. I watched as he picked these food trays from the ground and add them to a pile of the stack that was already on the counter. Giving him the benefit of the doubt that these food trays would be thrown in the garbage, I continued to watch. It wasn't until he grabbed one of the trays from that pile and passing it to his coworker who was about to put MY FOOD into it, when I interjected! Food into a tray that was on their DIRTY FLOOR! I was horrified. He proceeded to take the stack to the back area and grab a new one. You better believe I won't be back. If they were willing to give me a dirty food tray from the floor while I was sitting there, I have no doubts they bring that stack of dirty trays back and serve other customers....

I had asked to get my Gen-chicken separated from my rice, the young man that took my order seem to understand what I had asked so I didn't think it would be a problem. When my order was ready I had asked if it was then he tells me that we cant separate it. I had asked him why didn't you tell me when I ordered and he continued to talk to the kitchen staff and I left cause it didn't seem like anything was happening.... I'm just very annoyed as a customer and I would understand if they actually couldn't separate it but it's just steamed rice at the bottom they could of easily of put it in a different container or told me at the beginning no we don't do that I would just said no rice or replace it with a veggie.
