Tokyo Express — Restaurant in Edmonton

I ordered a Beef Bento and the Teriyaki sauce was VERY SALTLY. My Fiance tried the same food, and she agreed it was INDEED VERY SALTY. Mind you, I have been coming to this location for over 5 years now. I went to the counter to ask Mak "what was wrong" with the food and all I got was an insincere "sorry, we can't do anything about it". In his defense, he tasted the same sauce and it tasted "fine" to him. So I asked what I should do with the food, in response he said again, "sorry, there's nothing I can do". I asked if we can have a dish replacement instead and he gave me the same response. A refund was out of the question (which was understandable) because "I already ate the side dishes". He said it would make more sense to give a refund if I did not eat ANY OF IT AT ALL.

It was poorly handled with NO SOLUTIONS provided. He basically "put his hands in the air" and gave me the impression that I was on my own because "CORPORATE gave them a bad batch of ingredients".

Bottom line, I fixed the food's taste myself and ate the food with 1 tablespoon of sugar, AND IT WAS...

My reference was from my family and they told me to come here as they said the sushi and dishes were very pleasant. I decided to come here and they had awesome sushi for a very good price, the staff were also very friendly and kind when I was ordering and when they were serving me.

This is a very calm space with great parking as parking is very spacious and not tight. The interior of the restuarant is modern and clean, with staff cleaning everytime someone is finished eating. This place is also very busy and the staff are very calm and attentive as well as friendly compared to other resturants that have angry staff members during busy times.
