Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken — Restaurant in Esquimalt

This place is the worst lees I’ve ever ate from. I grew up in Campbell river & idk what they do different here but the chicken is always still white not Crispy & I ordered a 5 piece spicy chicken strip meal & the chicken was not spicy 1 bit. It usually takes 5-10 minutes for my food at this location but the last time I went it took 30 seconds. I took my food home which was 5 minutes away & the chicken was already cold I tried to enjoy it to avoid the hassle but I could not & I brought it back right away. I told the cashier & she said they can hold the chicken for 20 minutes after it’s cooked & still serve it. I will not be returning here she also game me a hard time when I said I wanted a new meal cooked. She tried giving me only 5 strips back when I didn’t even eat my wedges or biscuit. I told her I wanted an entire meal redone & she made it difficult just to get wedges out of the place. I didn’t even get a biscuit back worst customer service I’ve had at a food place & I have worked in the restaurant industry for 5 years earlier in my life so I know how a customer should be treated in customer service. She also told me that depending on who makes the seasoning for the spicy chicken it will be different every time which I don’t understand coming from a franchise… like is there not a recipe you follow or are you just eyeballing every time. Anyways I would avoid the chicken that’s been sitting there for 20 minutes & go somewhere else. Like I said not returning to this improperly trained location. Really makes me miss the lees in Campbell river. Even Duncan has better consistency then this place & my girlfriend even agrees. One other time my gf even said to tell them to cook it longer next time cause the chicken looked so under cooked like what are these...

I was in there today for my first visit ever. My dad use to go to the one in Duncan back in the day and said it was amazing.

Oh how I wish I could give you a five star rating. The customer service was great the cashier was very sweet and helpful. But I found the restaurant to be costly compared to other places I have been recently.

Unfortunately The portion sizes were very small. Not exactly what I was expecting, I was still hungry after dinner. I ordered the two piece snack and the pieces of chicken were very small with a pinner side $10.99

The chicken strips were good not to spicy and super crispy best I have had in town, the biscuit was delicious (soft and fresh) the beans and mashed potatoes were fine. Nothing out of the ordinary and nothing special really small portions. Do not order small unless you want one bite lol

The portion sizes are too small for my liking but other than that was very satisfied. I would like to see an app that gives you points for purchase.

Other than that no issues and only seating area available outside to me that's not very inviting, covid is over bring back tables and customer service please.

Good chain chicken store. This location is mainly a to Go location with a small eat in cou ter with 3 or 4 stools. The chicken and chicken strip are very nice tasting. I love the meals as they come with your choice of side. In my opinion, the wedge fries are the ones to get. However, you can choose regular fries that are good, but who hasn't gotten tired of commercial French fries? Baked beans are a good choice , as well. It's very tasty. The meals also include gravy and a very nice warm biscuit. All in all, a great meal. I also ordered the chicken sandwich, and unfortunately, it is not my chicken sandwich of choice. It is served on a portugese bun, and it is not a base suitable for the lovely piece of chicken and has always had way too much mayonnaise trying to make the substantial bread more palatable. The bun is neither toasted nor even warm when I have eaten the sandwich. Better menu choices abound. The staff at this location have always been efficient and friendly. My order took a couple of minutes to prepare, but if it was cooked fresh and I did not wait long. Well worth the wait for a freshly prepared meal...
