An Authentic Taste of Thailand in Victoria Green Elephant in Victoria is an absolute gem that every Thai food lover must experience. From the moment you step inside, you know you're in for a treat. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, but the real star of the show is the food. Each dish we ordered was simply delicious, bursting with fresh and vibrant flavors that were incredibly authentic. Eating here felt like I was back in Thailand, enjoying the rich and complex spices that are so characteristic of Thai cuisine. The kitchen does an exceptional job of balancing sweet, sour, spicy, and savory notes perfectly. The curries are rich and fragrant, the noodle dishes are perfectly prepared, and everything is served with a passion that you can truly taste. The service was also top-notch—the staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. It's rare to find a place that can so successfully capture the true essence of another country's food, but Green Elephant nails it. For anyone craving genuine Thai flavors and a fantastic dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit. It's easily one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been to, and I can’t...
Read moreI don't know why so many people rave about this restaurant; I did not have a good experience in terms of quality of food. It is not amazing and authentic as their website claims. I ordered a red curry and tom kah soup with chicken yesterday; it was delivered in good time. BUT, they were overly sweet and bland--no rich thai spices flavours. The red curry is supposed to come with red peppers; mine was heaps of bamboo, one sad piece of red pepper and very tough, dry chicken. The soup tasted the same, just sweet coconut milk with dry chicken. They actually tasted like they were from a tin bought at the grocery store, certainly not anywhere near what you'd expect from an "authentic thai restaurant". What a waste of 30$! Just buy a thai meal kit from the grocery store and save your $; this place's food isn't any better than...
Read moreWorst Thai, if you know actual Thai food. The chicken stir fry was dried out old chicken strips that couldn’t absorb the sauce if there was any! It was actually as if it had been previously frozen and then reheated… I’ve had better left-overs ($22). Do Not buy the Pad Thai of any kind. We had a tofu and, unfortunately, a chicken. The base was noodles with a scant bit of sauce and some chicken leftovers thrown on top. My wife is vegetarian , but she found chicken in the tofu pad Thai, and there was lots of tofu substitute in the chicken pad Thai that I had. Oh and to top it, just get regular rice if you do, there was barely any “coconut flavouring “ at all. Very disappointing, we were so excited too, we’ve had Thai food from several different restaurants in the area and honestly ALL were better...
