I started my day with a refreshing morning walk from my hotel to Selkirk Trestle, and it was absolutely worth it. The trail leading to the trestle is well-maintained and peaceful, with scenic views of the Gorge Waterway and plenty of spots to pause and take in the natural beauty. Took full advantage of my DSLR & Phone. The trestle itself is a charming wooden bridge that offers a great vantage point for photos and quiet reflection.
It’s a perfect spot for families, joggers, or anyone looking to enjoy a calm start to the day. I saw a few kayakers on the water and locals walking their dogs, which added to the friendly, laid-back vibe. There’s easy access from the Galloping Goose Trail, and parking nearby was convenient.

Read moreUpdated posting: Added a couple of photos looking at the north shore of the Gorge in the area. A developer has asked for a rezoning to demolish and rebuild with more floors the units along the shore. I think the taller buildings detract from the beauty of the shoreline and I hope it gets turned down.
