For paying 6$ for chips and salsa the serving of chips was small and the salsa was not great.
The Fajitas are definitely the chef's take on fajitas. Your typical meat peppers and onions, but they are very lightly cooked. They are served on a plate covered in a layer of cheese with the tortillas plopped down on the same plate. Very strange and unappealing presentation, all you can see when you get the plate is cheese and tortilla. The bottom tortilla was a soggy crumbling mess by the time it got to me. Why not invest in some tortilla baskets? They are very cheep. Or at least serve the tortillas on a separate plate. The overall flavor of the dish wasn't bad... fairly bland, and the sauce that is served with it tasted primarily of nothing with a slight burnt flavor. I generally support creative new takes on classic dishes, but this is a swing and a miss.
My girlfriend ordered 2 tacos, the pork belly in the pork belly taco was 70% fat 30% meat... not fun to eat. The other taco she ordered was excellent, although I don't remember which one it was.
Great drinks and friendly service.
We were sat closest to the kitchen and the bathrooms. At one point as we were waiting for our food it began to stink like crazy. Either someone had committed some atrocities in the bathroom, or someone sitting near us let out an absolutely heinous lingering fart. This isn't a complaint towards the restaurant, it's just a warning for if you are sat by...
Read moreThis place was an amazing little find! We have been in Fernie every year and not sure how we missed it.
Starting from the entrance, greeted with warm welcome, we were sat immediately. The interior was beautiful! Complimentary warm chips and salsa served as soon as we sat down. Our server was amazing! We loved their food so much that we had to have a second order of enchiladas. Their special for Friday night: Coconut Margarita was really good. Boys had fun mixing up different flavours of Jaritos like a science experiment!
Tacos were great. I had Baja Prawn and grilled beef. Enchiladas are a much try.
They have a cool looking bat in the restaurant which I found was nicely designed and decorated. Don’t underestimate this place from the outside.
Even the bathrooms were super clean and had some cool design statements.
Think we found another really favourite place in Fernie. Our boys want...
Read moreVery Expensive and Small servings! Non Authentic Mexican cuisine. I ordered the Enchiladas $24, told it came with beans and rice. 3 small flour tortillas warped around a small amount of pulled chicken 2oz totol, no fillers, raw. had the Green Verdi sauce poured over it. 1/4 cup of watery beans with a tortilla chip sticking up out of it. and 1/2 cup rice still in the shape of the measuring cup. each enchilada was very thin. No enchilada sauce or filler???? Since i was still hungry I ordered Refried beans and corn tortillas for $10, plus two Coronas at $7 each, came to $51.80. Still hungry I went to 7-11 next door for some corn dogs. I left no tip as I had told the waitress I was hungry, and asked her if the plate came with sides? she said oh yes large beans snd rice. I felt ripped off and deceived! I’ll never return. Save your money and get taquitos...
