The Pub Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Fernie

Terrible time. Would never go back. Some girl was laughing so obnoxiously extremely loud and over and over again the entire time we were trying to sit there and enjoy our meal. She was about 8 tables away from us and it was very rude and ruined our date. She seems to be a regular there, and the staff never tried to ask her to quiet down or go outside. Lots of people left because of her and weren’t enjoying their time there. They were wondering how it could be so dead on a friday night of a long weekend, maybe because this woman was extremely loud and ruining everyone’s time. We were very unimpressed and would never return. About 6 items on their menu wasn’t available either , very big let down. We went to Fernie mid January 2022 to ski. This restaurant was close to our hotel, so we decided to walk there for dinner yet didn’t expect much in such a small town. After passing dining requirements (well… omicron was ravaging Canada), we sit in and had probably one of the best meals during our 2 week ski trip in BC.

The people were friendly, Fernie Brewing selection was great. Our 11 year old companion very much loved the Steak & Red wine Pie (yeah, it’s steak in a pie 😀). We all liked the Pub Wings and Fries. Went really well with the beers. I had the Blackened Steak Salad while my friend a Signature Burger. All came from high quality meat, greens, ingredients and was very well cooked. We ended the evening with a Mason Jar Cheesecake for the teenager. What a lovely way to the day and get ready for shredding next morning.

The mucky fries are very disappointing. Good size for an appetizer, not a meal. The sauce was bland, and the toppings were bland bacon bits and green onions. Not as good as it seemed. Beef dip was good, I didn't hear any complaints from my company, as was the burgers. From what I gathered, only the mucky fries were a letdown.
