Fernie Museum — Attraction in Fernie

Just did the walking tour about Fernie and the First World War and the internment of ‘enemy aliens’. The interpretative guide was excellent and full of local history. Learned lots and would love to do the other two tours about the fire and bootlegging.

The museum itself is small but it has a wealth of information and the exhibits are well thought out and put together. Loved learning about the history of the area and lifting the high tech air pick. Can’t imagine beating a guy in an arm wrestling contest that lifts one of those things eight hours a day.

The museum has an interesting and informative collection of Fernie history and memorabilia, however, considering the small size of the collection, $5 is a bit steep for 20 minutes worth of reading/exploring...

Not a huge museum. But full of info on Fernie's history some interactive stuff. And the art exhibit when we went was very cool. You'll spend 1-1.5 hours if you read everything in there. 100% worth the price...
