Great Wall Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Fort Erie

I ordered from Great Wall on New Years Eve 2020. They were extremely busy but did their best to get everyone out as quickly as possible. People in line were being so impatient. I felt bad for them. I got my food and took it back to my car and checked my order and there were items missing so I went back inside and they were extremely helpful and got me my missing items right away.

The food was amazing, the fried rice was great, a lot of times the fried rice is dry when you order Chinese food, but they do fried rice really well at Great wall. The spring rolls, egg rolls, lo mein, egg noodles, pineapple chicken were all amazing!

My favorite item was the chicken balls. Great wall makes their chicken balls bite sized, unlike the meatball sized chicken balls I'm used to. I actually prefer the way Great Wall makes them now. Delicious! We will definitely order food from here again. We saw reviews about the food making people sick, my wife and I both ate the food and neither of us were sick. Very sad situation for a local let alone summer influx from afar ordering food on a Sunday night living north end Ridgeway, trying to bring home some hot food to get home and open the bag to find that you received an incorrect order. I had to call to let them know and drove back to get the order corrected understanding stuff happens. Finding once you get home for the second trip that your Bobo platter only had just 8 cream cheese wontons instead of four pork wontons, and four cream cheese wontons, in andd everything was cold by the time I got home. I can honestly say this will be our last visit whether it’s high time beach season or quiet time local season service should always be the same no issues. We will not see you this year at New Year’s Eve. On a higher note my flock of poultry thoroughly enjoyed the food. moving forward, Ridgeway has grown immensely and will continue to grow so if you’re trying to keep up to a Markham/Toronto feed frenzy and food I suggest getting with the times and delivering what people are actually looking for. executing your orders correctly would be a great...

Anyone who says The Great Wall Chinese Restaurant offers amazing food has obviously never ate at a good establishment.

My favourite place is in Niagara Falls, but we moved and are stuck eating from here if we want something fast.

I ordered beef with mushrooms. At the other place I normally order it's only beef, mushrooms and a tad bit too much gravy. But here they throw in 80% other vegetables (snap peas, carrots, etc.) Maybe 5% beef and the rest mushrooms. Was a huge disappointment. It tasted okay, but I've had better for a few cents cheaper.

I also ordered chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce. I have never seen chicken balls like what Great Wall offers. They're tiny, bite sized chicken balls. They taste pretty good, but can't help but think I'm paying more for extra batter.

Their chicken fried rice was okay. The rice doesn't taste 100% fresh unfortunately. It was okay at best.

Overall I was very disappointed with our usual meal combo ordered for the first time from Great Wall...
