Trailside Bar And Grill — Restaurant in Fort Erie

We rode past this place many times on our bikes but never had a chance to stop in but this night we did instead of eating in Fort Erie and are so glad we did. The waitress was very fast to meet us at the door and made an effort to find us a comfy table even with seating restrictions. The drink menu was great offering ciders and coolers instead of the usual boring beer selection like other places. Drinks came fast and I ordered the Matt burger with side salad and my gf ordered the Philly Steak salad. Service slowed down a bit at that point and it would have been nice to get my salad first, however the wait was worth it when the food arrived. My burger was grilled to perfection with a nice crunchy taste and the Matt sauce was a nice play on "Mac" sauce. My gf found the Steak salad excellent with (in her words) "just the right stuff to make it tasty". Cons? My salad would have been nice earlier, instead I had to eat it fast before my burger got cold. I thought the burger looked "low" until I realized it didn't come with tomato which is puzzling why it was left out however that is how it is described on the menu. We were seated next to a loud speaker which in the beginning was a classic rock playlist which was a bit much, however the selection and my hearing did improve when it kicked into alternative. Last, on the way out through the patio it looked so cozy but as there were no heaters we couldn't have enjoyed it on our less chilly-than-usual November night. That will have to wait until next year which we will make it a point of being there to try the rest...

We came in seen it was very busy. No one acknowledge us upon arrival. We had to ask where we could sit. After taking our drink order and getting those, we looked through the menu after 1 min we knew what we wanted and put the menus down. (The dinner rush was all served all most servers are standing around). 3 different servers walked by us while our menus where down. Our server was busy helping other servers. Then 2 other tables came in about 15 mins after we already had our menus down they got there drinks and put food order in before our waiter even came to see us. We then spoke to another passing waiter and explained we have now been here for over 40 mins our drinks are done and no one has taken our order. She then got very defensive and making excuses as to why our waiter could not come take our order. (We seen him taking other tables orders). Obviously they did not appreciate our patronage, and didnt not need us to support this local establishment. We paid for our one drink and left as it was nearly 8pm at this time. We took our business else where. This is the 3rd time we have had the worst experience there. We travel around alot and try many different places but this one is close to home and we try to support locally. We recommend many restaurants in niagara to family and friends. Unfortunately we will not be returning nor recommending due to the poor service skills this...

Absolutely the best pub/comfort food you will find in the area! They have AMAZING wings! quite possibly the best wings this side of the boarder and definitely in my top five all time (which is saying ALOT). The owner grows his own peppers and prepares the sauces, fresh! If you are a fan of suicide wings have to try their signature, Fuh-Get-About-It wings! They are seriously hot, with a tangy finish. Also, I was totally against BBQ sauce/Smokey flavoured wings, until I tried their Bucking Bronco wings. These wings would also be considered extremely hot or suicide, but the flavour is worth it even if you aren't into really hot wings. They have great wing deals on Tuesday AND Wednesday. The rest of the menu is great as well! The owners are super hard working and down to earth, don't be surprised if they serve you themselves or if you catch them bussing tables! So much respect for these people! Amazing wait staff! Awesome party scene on the weekend! I had my Bachelorette party here and it was a blast!
