Frydaze Chip Shack — Restaurant in Fort Erie

I like their fish and chips. Their fries are usually well made. Not a fan of the gravy in their poutine. Service can be kinda slow, but it is usually friendly. Closes a little too early.

Edit to add: I just found out they recently changed owners. I tried their gravy again as my husband said it was vegetarian gravy and it was pretty good. Not sure if they actually changed the gravy recipe or if I only like it now that I know its vegetarian. I am disappointed they only do fish and chips on Fridays as that is usually my favourite meal from there. I am happy they have more vegetarian options. Still close too...

Loved the fries. I got taco fries on recommendation from local and normally it’s not my thing, but it was delicious! With sour cream, ground beef, onion, tomato, cheese sauce. One of us had and enjoyed the sausage. Another had Mac n cheese bites and thought it was meh, but the coating was good. She would get something different next time (maybe the fries). Loves the outdoor seating. Only downside was that there were so many wasps! Do not get a soda pop or you will be inundated! Visited this restaurant with high hopes, only to leave utterly disappointed. Ordered a meal which, to our surprise, arrived missing half the ingredients. When we inquired about this, we were nonchalantly told they had run out. It’s frustrating that we weren’t informed of this when ordering; we would have gladly chosen something else.
