Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Fort McMurray

Being the only Dairy Queen Establishment in Fort McMurray, I have gone to Dairy Queen many times and during these visits I've noted some unappealing things. First of all, the decor is very outdated, poor and quite frankly disgusting. The counters are wearing down and the place doesn't look sanitary in the least bit. However the decor is the least of Dairy Queen's problems. I've witnessed events where staff have not been treated fairly. Events where employees have made a mistake and have been called out about the mistake in front of everyone. Now some of the employees are not the most social or polite people but they do not deserve to be treated like the way I have seen them treated. It makes me not want to eat there honestly. I would never allow myself to be treated like that. Also, There is a trick called the blizzard trick at Dairy Queen, I've seen it once or twice myself but for the most part it doesn't really stick as part of the Dairy Queen routine and I am perfectly fine with that. I think that the blizzard trick is the stupidest thing, it's a waste of time and I don't really care if my ice cream is thick or not as long as I finally get to eat it! In conclusion, I love Dairy Queen and I've been to many establishments and this by far is the worst I've seen in terms of the decor and the way the staff is treated. waited about 15 mins in line prior to ordering. not an exaggeration either. the restaurant has been updated. the seating is better but its more crowded now. order was wrong as i wanted the breaded chicken sandwhich - realized when i got home. not to impressed. noticed two others who had orders wrong while we were waiting. the biggest problem is the amount of rude, vulgar and ignorant teenagers in there. one group was harassing customers and asking whats your name and then mocking them. same group was swearing like sailors. kids are around and families. complete lack of respect and dignity. i wonder if a lot kids are raised ljke that here in fort mcmurray nowadays? i wanted to say something to them and put them in their place, but i figured it would be like pouring gasoline on a fire. i did ask for a manager when ordering, but none were around. so i let the till lady know our complaint. those kids were not even eating, just loitering. maybe in the future limit the amount of time teens are in there. if i go back it will most likely be in...

Since the renovations the new staff are really incompetent. I am constantly needing to explain multiple time left what I am trying to order because they don't understand. Food is inconsistent, sometimes the ice cream looks like it's supposed to, sometimes it's half full with barely any toppings. The last time I was in there, there were only 2 people in line it was not busy at all, but there were at least 8 cashiers on ththe floor all standing in th corner chatting instead of working. Despite being in every one of the royal blizzards, they have not had brownie pieces for months, and they staff can never remember whether they do have them or not causing confusion with customers and causing orders to be made incorrectly.
