Drop House - Eatery and Coffee — Restaurant in Fort McMurray

Updates have been going consistently, and it has consistently been really good. They recently got new sausages and hash browns. Really good choice the new ones are far superior.

Updates: I went a few more times, and the chicken burgers and burgers are friggin great!

While the food was good, i do have a few gripes. Carmilized onions take 30 to 45 minutes to fry on low. You can not fry an onion on high for 3 minutes and say they are Carmilized onions. just put them as fried onions. Don't lie on your menu. 2 it says homemade hollandaise sauce, but when i asked the cook, they said it was pre-prepaired again. DONT LIE ON YOUR MENU JUST TELL THE TRUTH. having diner food is fine, but lying 🤥

Went for brunch with three other people. 1/2 hr wait to get food with 2 other tables being served and skip coming in twice. Friendly enough service but slow. The food was not good. steak and eggs - two orders of med rare came out WELL DONE. and the steaks were tiny. Eggs cooked properly, run of the mill toast and fruit salad was nothing special. The other two orders were the pork chop meal - again, way over cooked and the veggies were burnt. The last order was potato wedges with hollandaise sauce and bacon which was enjoyed and had nothing to improve on. Total cost was in the neighbourhood of $110.00 with four coffee. Service was good and wait staff very friendly.

Food was not good at all. I ordered a Monte Cristo and was very disappointed. There was no turkey, the sandwich was smothered in mayo and mustard and it was made with French toast bread as opposed to egg dip. Now in their defence the menu indicates this is what’s on it. Regardless it’s not a Monte Cristo so call it something different. It was horrible.

I also got a mesclun salad and it had so much dressing I couldn’t eat it.

The kicker was when they fired up the blender for some smoothies, it was so loud we couldn’t visit. We like to support smaller places however we will...
