Service is EVERYTHING. I give two stars because food is good, atmosphere great. Service...? Worst experience ever. We ordered steaks, one of which was specifically requested to be "well done". The server appeared not to be able to understand this basic concept. Didn't ask how cooked we wanted our steak... we needed to specify all the time. When the "well done" was requested, no notes were taken until we insisted and specify this. Food arrived, and the server didn't know who each plate belonged to. Needed to pick our own. The "well done" steak was very reddish looking. It was immediately returned. Came second time, and the extra herb butter (as per original order) was gone. Instead, two small butter caps were added on a side. Steak was far to be "well done". Most appropriate definition is "medium-rare" (see picture). Steak was returned again, and the server was confused and didn't understand what "well done" meant... Ladies and gentlemen... we're in a steak house!!! We needed to specifically say something like: "well done, means no blood, well cooked. You know, when you keep it on the grill much longer on each side, depending on the cut??" Came third time with another steak (meanwhile everybody else already ate their food at the table). This time was actually "well done" (finally!), but the server forgot to bring the coleslaw on a side (again, as per original order). When the side was brought back, the dish could have been finally eaten. End of the story: the bill was discounted 25% off the single dish, so just a $6.50 discount. To me doesn't matter if it wasn't discounted or not, or how much was paid for the meal. The real problem here is the service... you cannot afford this very poor service in a steak house, when a steak is the main order. You can have the worst food served in the best way, and you'll be still able to go back home with a smile on your face. But no matter how excellent the food is, if it's served with no care and professionality, the whole experience is ruined! I don't blame the single server, but who allows them to be hired in the first place, with no proper training (as far as I can tell). Just a quick reminder: when something like this happens, the restaurant looses three times. 1st, the customer experience is ruined and a bad review will be received for everybody to know (like this very one). 2nd, the customer will never come back, so the restaurant will loose the potential of the reoccurring customer. 3rd, the unsatisfied customer will share with the public their experience, potentially convincing other customers to choose something else. I don't care about getting reimbursed or getting discounts next time (there won't be), I care about this place hires competent servers and provides a good training for their employees. I'm sorry to be so direct, but this is the bare truth. Thanks for understanding, and best of luck...
Read moreWell, I will give good reviews when they are due, and I'm sure I have given a good review for this location in the past. Tonight was far from good. We were seated by a new host who knew less about the layout of the restaurant than I did. Fine, new people are new people, but you are selling a service and an experience. I should not have to follow the person around the restaurant like a fool. It took about 15 mins to get acknowledged at our seats even though 3 servers had walked by our table multiple times. Right away, efficiency has been tossed out the window. We ordered drinks and they were fine. Beer was cold, coffee was hot and fresh. Our food showed up and the fries were white. They should never have made it to our table. Sickly looking pieces of wilted, cold oil, garbage. Sad. Then my wife's sandwich was a dry bun with meat and some fried onion pieces. No sauce, no nothing. Sad, and gross. My brisket burger was decent, but that was it. The server brought us a crispy order of fries on request. All in all, our $65 meal was less than average. The service was average. A good server would not have put those plates in front of us. There are no excuses for poor service or poor food in a franchise like this. It is poor ownership or management, or both. It was 6:30 pm on a Friday, and restaurant was at less than half capacity when we left after 7pm, to cook our raw fries in our air fryer at home. Sad story,...
Read moretoo long didn’t read: -service good -steak ordered medium rare came out well done and took 30+ minutes : bad -new steak medium rare but still hard to chew : bad -potato smashers bland and tasteless : bad
it wasn’t for your damn good of a server/bartender I probably wouldn’t have even accepted the re-fire on my order. Came in for a solo dinner cause I’m here for work, ordered the 10oz steak with potato smashers. Service was quick and attentive - I could see the server was also the bartender and had a pretty significant amount of tables So that being said, Service was pretty amazing given the circumstances. Here’s where it went bad, the potato whatever’s had zero seasoning in them and literally just tasted like bland potatoes with a blanket of melted cheese - wouldn’t get those again - my steak which I ordered medium rare came out well done. I cut the steak in multiple spots to confirm this - showed it to my server and he immediately took action and offer a fresh one to the doneness that I ordered originally. Mind you this was already 30+ minutes from the time I ordered so I’m pretty hungry at this point, new steak came out in under 10 medium rare; the quality of the steak was subpar, most pieces I couldn’t chew down and just ended up swallowing (pause no diddy) making this meal a pretty miserable and sad one, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to emotionally recover from this...
