Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fort St John — Hotel in Fort St. John

I’ve stayed at this hotel for 1-2 week stints 3 times this summer, and every single time i’ve stayed here i’m shocked at their service and willingness to help. here’s a couple of my highlights: antony, the very nice man who works at the breakfast area, has always been pleasant and lovely to talk to, even during early mornings. he truly cares about the people he talks to, and is very friendly and helpful! i had a lovely conversation with him this morning all off the staff in general is lovely to talk to, and any issues that have come up were resolved quickly and kindly. one night at 10:30 i went downstairs to get water, and when i went back, the lock on my door for the key cards had died. the staff tried to fix the issue with what was on hand, but the hotel manager ended up driving to and fixing my door himself at 11:00. absolutely lovely of him, and he regularly greets me when he’s at the hotel, and makes sure i’m enjoying my stay the rooms are super comfortable to be in, especially for longer periods of time. i will say, if you’re here for more than 4 days, absolutely get the rooms with the kitchen as the full sized fridge and couch is very nice to have. also, this is the only hotel i’ve been at where they had hdmi cables, and i love being able to connect my laptop and use my own device to watch shows/ videos

the only issue i really have is that there’s no water or ice for drinking anywhere except the first floor, which is inconvenient if you run out of water later at night. otherwise, this hotel is great and i highly recommend staying 😊 thanks...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Microtel Windham in Fort St. John, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel offers a modern, clean, and comfortable atmosphere that made my stay very enjoyable. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and equipped with all the necessary amenities, including fast Wi-Fi and a great selection of TV channels.

The staff at Microtel Windham truly made my stay exceptional. They were always ready to assist with any requests or questions. I was particularly impressed with the quality of the complimentary breakfast, which offered a variety of delicious options to start the day right.

When I arrived everything looked great. That all changed when I couldn't shower the next morning because there was no hot water, I got back that evening to be told the hot water was fixed. It wasn't. They moved me to a smaller room and lo and behold the hot water didn't work there either. Well I finally got the hot water working after letting it run for 10 minutes. The breakfast on the first morning was terrible. Powdered eggs are fine but they need to mix them properly, they didn't. The next 2 mornings breakfast was better however no cream for coffee. My overall experience was miserable. The staff was alright but rather than fix the problem it was more like they were used to these problems and could only apologize because the owner was going to do nothing to fix it. That's not a fact but more of an opinion formed from how I read there responses. However, if I were to visit Fort St John again, I would not stay at microtel.

I do not recommend you stay there, there is a holiday Inn down the road maybe try them out, they might be better but I didn't stay there so I really don't know.
