First came here in April of 2023, and the food was incredible. From start to finish, it was amazing, and we couldn't stop talking about it.

Fast forward to tonight, and we had a very different experience that has left us wondering if we will ever come back.

Drinks: No problems! Tasty!

Appetizers: Mussels (Garlic cream and leek) - The mussels themselves were good, and the flavor was there, but lacking any type of sauce. There were maybe a couple of drops of sauce at the bottom of the bowl, and that's it. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer them to be drowning in sauce. (Still ate them all). *Seafood Dip (w/ chips and naan) - The Naan we had to send back because they were burnt/charred. To the point that we knew thats all we would taste if we tried them. Like, it's only Naan bread, don't serve it burnt, just redo it. The seafood dip itself, I am guessing, is pre frozen and then baked in the oven. Which is fine because the flavors were awesome, but the cheese wasn't melted and was a hard/dry crust. If the cheese was melted/gooey/bubbling, wow, it would have been a great dish! (Still ate the whole thing)

Main course: *Seafood Fettuccine - Amazing. Good sauce, lots of seafood. Noodles cooked well. It's a really tasty dish and no complaints. *Lobster and Scallop Fettuccine - This came with a lobster tail on the fettuccine, and my spouse took one bite of lobster meat and almost spat it out. I tried it, and I did spit it out. As soon as it was in your mouth, it turned to mush and was the worst thing I have experienced at a restaurant in my life. We immediately had to call the wait staff over and just ask for the lobster tail to be discounted off the bill because we didn't trust them to make another. (which they kindly did). The rest of the dish was awesome!

These are all fairly minor or fixable things, but combined, it just kind of threw us off. Most food tasted great, but the attention to detail and the lack of care for the food were actually insulting. I am sure most people don't/won't have this experience, but for us, I don't think we will be back. The quality control / attention to detail / pride in the food demonstrates that my dining experience is better off elsewhere.

This is all in my humble opinion, and they have many other great reviews, so once again, this review is just one bad serve.

The serving staff are awesome, btw. Very nice and friendly, food was fast, they did an...

Seriously? I don't know what all the hubbub is about. We went there at 4:45pm one night and they asked if we had a reservation. Why no. Why would we? We're from out of town and this is a remodeled taco bell or something... We looked around and the place was EMPTY except one other couple. They said "Wellllllllllll.... we'll try to squeeze you in." As if they were doing us a favor for letting us into their oh-so-special restaurant. Whatever. Evidently their being rated "top" on TripAdvisor has gone to their heads, as it really isn't anything special.

I had chicken with risotto. Chef Ramsey from Hell's Kitchen would NOT have let this risotto through the pass. It had pretty good flavor, but was very mushy, almost inedible. I guess if you don't know what good risotto is supposed to taste like, you may not mind the gummy consistency. The chicken on top of the massive pile of risotto (I mean, seriously, it was like 2 pounds of the stuff!) was very nicely prepared. It had great flavor and I wished I'd had more of it! Also, there were a couple of sprigs of asparagus - also well-prepared.

Others have mentioned free bread as a starter. We DID receive some, but it wasn't anything to write home about. We would've asked for more, as it took them 25 minutes to cook our two entrees (I believe they went out back to wring the neck and pluck the chicken), but as we were already "intruding" on their empty dining room, we knew better than to overstay our "welcome". Likewise, we opted out of dessert for the same reason.

We noticed as we left at 6:15, that only one other couple had arrived with a reservation. So, not sure why such a big deal when we arrived at 4:45pm.

As we were from out of town, we obviously won't be returning. However, even if we lived there, we wouldn't go back. We did not feel welcomed and we didn't think the food price was worth what it was. That being said, maybe this place gets top ratings because people don't know any better? Maybe there aren't any other good restaurants in the area competing? Not sure, but if you put this restaurant up against a similarly priced meal in say, NYC, LA or Dallas, this would pale...

It breaks my heart to leave this review but I must. After a very difficult funeral, I stopped to order takeout here. I have always loved this place as a major treat with amazing food. I ordered the lobster and scallop fettuccine. I always order the seafood fettuccine but this was really decadent for the occasion. To my horror they put it in a cardboard container that leaked the watery Alfredo everywhere in the paper bag and all over my car. I live 5 minutes away. It gets worse - at first sight there was very few noodles. This dish feeds me 3 times normally. They gave me the smallest piece of garlic baguette I've ever seen in a restaurant. If I ate the entire serving, I would still have been hungry. The next horror was they cooked a 2 ounce lobster tail butterflied with the poop vein intact! Disgusting! The dish contained mostly bay scallops with a few small sea scallops and mutilated lobster meat. I am so angry and so disgusted mostly because you can't share your experience with the establishment. They are so arrogant that they don't care about your opinion or your experience and will not make it right for you. They believe the problem lies with you. I'm out $50.00 and I genuinely feel defrauded. Please read others experiences with 1 star. Also note they don't respond to any review good or bad because they genuinely don't care about you or your opinion. This restaurant is no longer fine dining or 5 stars. Save your money for other local seafood places that care about what they do and you and your experience. I will...

I arrived to the restaurant and got seated. The service was mediocre at best. It took at least 5-10 minutes after I put my menu down before a server came back to take my order. I ordered a drink (Caesar, no ice and no Tabasco), bacon wrapped scallops, and prime rib and a lobster tail. I got my drink. $9 for a very small Caesar. It tasted watered down. When I got my scallops, their size was about the size of a quarter. You get 6 for $24, It definitely was not worth the price. Nothing to write home about. I finished those and my main meal came in a proper amount of time. When my main meal arrived, I was a little shocked by the Prime Rib and lobster tail. The thickness of the prime rib was about a centimeter thick. Usually it should be about an inch thick. I had ordered it cooked medium, but it came medium rare. The lobster tail was on the small size and was undercooked. If the lobster is cooked, it should pop out of the shell easily. This did not. It was still attached to the shell and it tasted like it was like raw fish. The only thing that was done right was the mashed potatoes. The meal cost $112. Was so not worth the price! My first experience eating on the east coast area of Canada, I would not want to come back any time soon. Stay away from this restaurant, trust me. Save yourself the experience and your money. Spend it somewhere else.

While the price would put many off, the overall experience makes it well worth it. I had the lobster dinner and my wife had the seafood risotto. Both were delicious. The lobster dinner was you standard fare at market price with a lot of butter and great veggies. The seafood risotto was creamy, savory, jam packed with seafood and massive. Very glad my wife couldn't finish it and I got to. We shared the crème brûlée which was a bad idea, only because it was so delicious. The brûlée came in a tiny flower pot which was a nice touch, the berries were fresh and the whip cream, excellent. The brûlée itself was close to perfect. I prefer my creme a bit more set and it some vanilla bean is often nice, but that's just being nitpicky. At $7, this dish was more than worth it. The quarter can become a little cramped, but that just tells you how good it is when a place is often full like it was tonight. The server was nice and my wife enjoyed the attentive, but not too attentive service. I do enjoy a bit more attention when paying higher prices at places though. Come back to pour the wine and water, as a couple extra times if we need anything/how is everything and so on. Overall, whenever we can afford it, we'll be back. I'm still thinking about the food.
