Worst experience ever

We went without reservation but I asked the owner if he can accommodate me and my family, we were four. He said yes but gave us only one menu option to choose from, It was not a problem considering we didn’t make a reservation I guess. After he sat us down on the corner table on the patio, table for two, and accused me of lying by saying I didn’t disclose that we were four and not two! You should have asked me to leave if that was a problem. Maybe there was miscommunication but there was no reason to be rude to me and my family while we were trying to enjoy our meal and evening.

We asked for three fish and chips, we only got two and we got two forks and knifes and two glasses of water! I didn’t wanted to make a fuss about it so we shared everything.

I have been to this restaurant about 2-3 times before. We live close by so try to encourage local spots but I guess this place is out of my list in future. There are 20 other restaurants that serve fish and chips in the region and where you don’t get insulted and treated like this. For this place, I don’t think they care if we don’t return which is fine.

recently visited a new seafood fish and chips restaurant and had an amazing experience. Here's my 5-star review: Food Quality: The fish and chips were absolutely delicious. I have been eagerly awaiting the chance to try this place. 5 times I have tried unsuccessfully to dine there. 5 times, problems would arise at the last minute at the restaurant making impossible for us. As luck would have it, tonight was the night! But alas, despite the 3 empty tables, we had to wait 30 minutes to be sat because they were “too busy”.

Fine. Waited patiently, all the while being very weary that something would “happen” again.

Half an hour later, sure enough those same tables were empty but we were allowed to be seated. We got the shareable halibut bites, my boyfriend got the fish and chips and I got the pan seared halibut with bacon and artichokes.

The halibut bites were food, mind you three as a sharable is a bit strange and the sauce was inaccessible due to the serving bowl.

My pan seared halibut was good, but I was craving some sort of bun or carb that could take the saltiness out of my mouth.

Overall, cute little place if you’re not in a hurry. First date kind of place.
